Does anyone know what all careers there are, and what they do?
I've been looking through everything I can find, and I can't find a single explanation as to what these job titles actually _do_. So if someone could give an explanation I would be really grateful.

The career system should be explained in the info pages but have not translated yet, I will give you a brief introduction.

Most of the career skills effect while hero is on fire (laugh on the battle). Except fisher and taoist. Here are the list:

Merchant: get money
Farmer: get food, increase Prosperity
Warrior : stop enemies (blue sign)
Artisan: refill allies’ ammo and shield (player need press H)
Herder: heal ally horses HP (player need press H)
Titan: reduce enemies morale and get chaos(green sign)
Actor: increase ally morale and make some ally heroes get on fire too
Academic: make enemies surrender
Barkeeper: make enemies or hero get drunk, 100% chance to capture
Fisher: make enemy heroes dead together while he's dying
Thief: invisible and steal enemies' equipment
Doctor: heal allies
Playboy: make female enemies become allies(heart sign, 100% chance for enemy beauty), make female ally stronger
Beauty: make male enemies become allies(100% chance for enemy playboy)
Taoist: enemies around him will take damage by percent per few second(red aura), but when he's on fire, the aura will disappear

Em... I forgot to say, player can only get first 9 careers.

Maybe I will let you choose the career by yourself next time.

I'm like most people i have find only 4 Careers : Herder Farmer Barkeeper and Actor.I find Herder very usefull because you can heal your Horse and Actor is not bad too.

But i would be happy to get other Careers too but i can wait i have a lot of work to do with what he have in this awesome mod right now.

@aliang227 you're a great man for having put this mod here thanks a lot.

Hello,
Can you change career or have more than one or are you stuck with it forever?
(quite surprising I am still considered a farmer after destroying everyone in duel)
PS: someone could tell me how the barkeeper trait works? (I do not get named bandits as prisoners : Edit: looks like named bandits cannot be captured if I am correct but lords will be captured sometimes. Do you need to be over a certain health % to get this to activate?)

Regarding the actor, does it mean that if you win a duel, all your companions will be on fire and not just you? (sounds quite nice)

I honestly support that idea, i'd like to get doctor on my main character to be honest, the idea of healing my troops in battle is usually my prime target in games like this, i'm one of those that'd rather keep the troops i have than recruit just to replace constantly, i like the idea of herder and artisan as well, would definitely be a nice system to be able to choose my own career, though i do understand the reasoning behind having the player go through the questions to get something based on their answers instead of just getting whatever they want.

Edit: it just occurred to me that the doctor ability might mean healing only your companions and not all your troops, which would make my statement completely invalid LOL, still would like to have the skill regardless.

Excuse my English. How does Taoist get career experience? Found a companion with this career. I want to choose Taoist as my second career. I need to pump him to career level 4. When a companion beats a lord in a duel, he doesn't get Taoist experience. His first career is as a student, his second is as a monk (Taoist). He's had 10 duels, and his Taoist experience is 0/5000. For which actions does he get career experience?
