Dajin Knigths or how to make trespassing impossible
I don't really like that part of the game so far though I truly enjoy everything else. The problem is I have to face LARGE ammount of Dajin units all across the map and from what I can tell they're only offensive to the player which makes them kind of a bottlecap for the latter. I'm not really deep into the game but at my 60~ day experience I have to presicely stare at myself while I travel to not to get punked by Dajin Knights squad which just melt every combination of my army. I simply can't compete with them with cav. Cav is the most efficient thing in this mod and I find it frustrating since it literally kills all strategy part. You just have to raise as much armoured cav as possible and then order to charge. This is pretty common thing in Warband modules I gotta say, you just have to accept it. But right now I'm unable to do anything about Dajin Knights and those 150~ ppl squads of cav just annihilate every attempt to confront them. The only offensive faction to them being player is the worst part of whole picture as I have to face them completely on my own without any help from outside. I already can tell how much it will damage my serving in faction and how much harm it will do in case I'll create my own kingdom. I have to run away from them or drop morale by leaving 10% of my army to get away safely since they don't demand payment, either surrender or die, and this♥♥♥♥♥♥really grinds my gears. There's more - their range of sight. They can see you from across the province and even if they have half of your travel speed they'll still chase you around like brainless zombies. Heck ofc they do since you're the only thing they can kill. I'm forced to always pick the longer route because of this bs they just follow you till you're cornered. Especially it hits when you're on or near the bridge where pathing is messed up so instead of moving where you click your army makes a whole circle around getting straight in their hands. And I'm playing with realistic savings so imaging leaving 10% of your army once per 30 mins because of this without any chance.

Please reconsider this faction and maybe add them to outlaws or cut their range of view or balance the number of troops.

Agree with you.
Playing in realistic savings too and i can't remember how many times i just lost my troops when i needed them the most.
Like when lords gave me quests "Hey train these troops / join my move in war" and you're like meh.

Could be nice if others factions will go after them or at least, if they could go after every Lords/heroes (NPC) who are like high in renown (that option may be retarde since they will mostly chase Faction Lords-Kings).

But at least, doing something about Dajin would be nice, specialy since they can always respawn. :/

Not that they can respawn, they DO respawn in greater numbers, if I have to face 150+ squad with 60-70 Cav, 30-40 Pagoda Knights and the rest footmen and snipers on my lvl 27 with 81 party limit I can't even imagine what awaits me in the future. But what I can clearly imagine is how I lead ally vassals as a marshal to besiege a castle/town and while I prepare the siege equipment for two days some Dajin punks at x15 speed come across to undertake me and my whole load of "allies" would just watch how a bunch of Pagoda Knights massacre my army infront of them.

Just recently I had to kite 2 Knights and 1 Dajin Hunters units on my way back to friendly lands from Chuzhou to Taizhou (check these places on map in game) with only half of my travel speed they still had the chase going and I had to hide in town for almost 3 days to make them wander off.

Really the more I play the more Dajin guys exhaust me. As if their only purpose is to make player's life much harder. To erase player from the world. It's kind of a new lvl of nasty interference in this particular mod as if limitless hoards of Sea Raiders and Steppe Bandits or Lord's Patrol guards and unique troops armies is not enough.

I've already eliminated countless numbers of Dajin Farmers and a few Hunters/Knights and I gotta say it's not even worthy... with loot stat at 7 the drop is too scarce to pay off the losses. The quality of loot also leaves much to be desired. Only once I managed to loot the hero's lance (not unique tho). The only reward is exp which is not enough to pay much attention to Dajin scoundrels since they clearly overscale the player so it's an endless ride.

One thing I wonder tho is how the hell do they manage to capture refugees? They always have a few as hostages.

You don't have to change their affiliation/behavior, you can instead attach them to some region on the map (like they only spawn in center) or cap their top tier forces to 1-3 untill player deal with them. That would actually make more sence since they will annoy player and thus forcing player to deal with them. But after a certain ammount of time they shall respawn. Kind of a challenge to take or bring the risks of being cornered.

You can look at the Prophesy of Pendor or other modules to figure out how to balance this whole thing with unique factions.

weird i had problems with them early game, but at late game they just sorta disappear, and they are aggressive against other factions, i lured quite a bit of them to reduce their number, now i rarely see any on my map, i just avoid the big party and they wander off somewhere else chasing lords.
edit : best way to deal with them is telling your cavalry to wait, then bait them chasing you side way to expose them then tell cavalry to charge to eliminate their lances.

Maybe it's a bug but they're 100% friendly to anyone except me in my game. Same goes for VaJanna I guess.

Anyway, I caught myself in endless fighting with outlaws and Dajin units being absolutely unable to train or sometimes even hire troops to compensate my losses. Wherever I go there's a bunch of outlaws with huge numbers chasing me like a herd eventually cornering me up. I can't hire recruits from 2 adjacent villages without fighting my way through. Not to mention my slow healing time. Basically all I do is winning duel and then mostly observing and giving orders or kiting on horse when situation is dire. And I build myself a warrior with 10 Iron flesh and power strike so it feels like a waste.

This mod is genuinely about fighting outlaws so far.

Thanks for your strategy advice, but for now I don't have a decent cav troops since I only able to pick up Greenwood fellas or some hired horsemen because with those endless fightings going on (and without any Surgery skill) I simply can't raise good troops from recruits to knights in a short time.

I used to work with the same strategy but with archers. Kite Dajin Knights in circles with some fast horse and your archers can kill or dismount them but this method is quite time consuming I gotta say but atleast you can save your troops. Sometimes.

They are hostile to only me too, maybe it has something to do with the start decisions?
