The 5 Elements and What They Do
So it seems that the elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, etc.) determine the first effect that a weapon will get at 25 kills. I've collected enough legendaries by now to see that each element always gives the same effect, though the size of the effect is random.

Earth = Cavalry Champion - Increase damage while riding by X%
Metal = Cavalry Killer - Increase damage to horses and cavalry by X%
Fire = Infantry Champion - Increase damage while on foot by X%
Water = Infantry Killer - Increase damage to infantry by X%
Wood = Ranged Killer - Increase damage to ranged by X%

I've tried one Power Up stone, and it only increases the first effect, so its one of these 5. Sadly, I've only ever found one of those stones, so I don't know if you can use a second stone to power up the second effect, or maybe further power up the first effect, or if its just a one time thing.

The stones max the first special effect out at orange level. I believe that's 12%.

Further stones don't do anything else. They only upgrade effect #1.

You're not able to remove these Killer/Champion effects using a reroll stone either, so the power up stone can't ever upgrade anything but the special effects you listed.

Thanks for listing all the info here.

By the way, do you want to use this topic to list all of the special abilities that weapons are capable of having?

That information has never been collected on any english website as far as I know.

That's a great idea. There are so many cool abiliities. I keep seeing new ones.

Do you know if the reroll stone rerolls the strength of the first effect? If you get a 1% bonus will it still be 1% after rerolling it?

When you use a reroll stone, Tang Long has you select the weapon ability you'll delete and then he sets your weapon to a lower level.

You need to score 200 kills to unlock whatever your new ability will be.

So rather than rerolling all of them, each stone gets you 1 new ability in exchange for removing an old one.

You keep all the other abilities the weapon had before.

oh, I see. That's interesting. I like that approach

So far the effects I've seen are

[Environment] Hero: If you're fighting in a forest, or whatever environment it mentions, this gives you a boost in power.

[Chaos Hit] Has a chance to instantly throw the victim into chaos.

[Removal Hit] Can cause all of your victim's armor to disappear.

[Skill Boost] Raises the mentioned skill by 1 point.

[Accurate Hit] This gives you perfect accuracy with any and all ranged weapons.

[Swift Hit[ GREATLY boosts your movement speed and weapon attack speed. You become a whirlwind of death in battle. Easily one of the best abilities in the game.

[Broken] I believe this destroys your victim's weapon.

[Stealing] Gives you a money reward upon landing a killing blow. Apparently the reward is greater the more powerful your foe is.

[Capture] Raises the chances of capturing an enemy hero if you knock them out with the weapon.

[Raid[ Increases damage of attacks from behind.

[On Fire] Boosts the damage you deal while you have the "on fire" status.

[Calm] Boosts the damage you deal, until you acquire the "on fire" status. Opposite of the above status.

[Troop Type] Defender: Boosts your damage against the specific type of troop. IE Dajin.

Also, something to keep in mind is that some types of abilities stack and aren't tied to a specific weapon.

For example, Calvary Champion can be on all of your weapons and you can get up to a 48% damage boost while on horseback if you've got 4 maxed out [Earth] type weapons.

I didn't realize that. So it would be worth it to match element types then.

Yep. If you hit someone with a weapon that gives you a boost from riding a horse, and it also gives you increased damage against their troop type (IE, Chu) and you've got another boost going that makes you stronger in a forest, you can REALLY bring the pain.

Some of the situational boosts go up into the high 20% range. So you're looking at potentially getting double damage if the stars all line up.

You have the Chest With Party feature that'll let you store a massive amount of gear, so it could be worth your time to level up every legendary weapon you acquire to see if they develop incredibly useful abilities.

I've seen single ability bonuses as high as 40%. I just didn't realize that they could work across weapons. I figured you only got the ability while that weapon was in your hand

Some of them work like that. Others stack in general. If you have Forest Hero and Chu Invader on the same weapon, and your other weapons are Earth type, this all lines up and works. If you hit a Chu guy while riding a horse and being in a forest, you'll deal massive damage.

But it requires some experiments to see just what works together.
