Want to make a freshwater reservoir
I'm trying to make a village in the salt dunes and I'd like to make them a decorative pool of fresh water, but anytime I put water on the ground (even when I'm using the xyloschemer to put down floor first) it turns into salty water. Any thoughts?

How about using air wells and catch basins instead ? i dont think you'll be able to make a pool of fresh water in the salt desert

I'm still new to this mod, but pretty sure every desalination tablet you toss in a pool clears 200 salt. If you have existing pools of salty, or better, brackish water on the map, you can convert those with enough tablets.
