FPS issues on host side
After maybe 30-60 mins into a game the FPS drops to about 4-5 FPS and becomes unplayable. The other guys on the server don't experience the issues, so I'm guessing its only for the host. I'm running a non-dedicated server on a high spec machine with 50/50 line. And we are currently only 3 players on the map.

Same here. This does gradually get worse in FPS overtime. I think there should be a parameter of clean up time to clean up dead vehicle and body carcasses. And I have a problem of the enemy and friendly units only attacking and congregating at one particular outpost. So my team grows in high numbers probably also adding to the lag, their team also grows in numbers at this outpost since they don't really attack each other as well.

It's due to having too many scripts running, not the amount of troops or assets. This has been an issue since ArmA 1. It would behoove of the mission creator to tone down the amount of scripts running or simply eliminate some of them.

This is probably because the amount of AI is too high (keep in mind that AI presence will increase a lot over time), not the amount of scripts running.

I won't have access to my main computer for some time, but once I do, I'll start scratching my head about AI optimization. This seems to be an issue to a lot of people.

In the meantime, you could try reducing the numbers of zones, maybe this will help.

Well it don't help to reducing the zones I have try that, lagg still there, but I am sure that it have something to do with the AI to many AI, and as TB says I am sure this is the main problem. Anyway with this said, its a great mod as everyone says, I have been playing it for some times, but again its unplayable after some hours. Keep up the good work Kibot

I think i just found why it would lag so bad in the last version of the DUWS (a function stuck in an infinite loop), check the description of the mission.

Will the saves contain the infinite loop and need to be restarted? Because I replaced the mission file and my save is still laggy.

I spawned about 150 AI in groups of 5 and set to patrol and there was only lag from looking at 150 guys all next to each other so I don't think it's with the number of AI unless they are being set to do something else that is consuming.

You should restart your mission after updating it.

For those still having the lagging issue after 30 minutes of play time, can you go to the provided link in the description and test the v0.77a to see if you still have these issues ?

Could you tell me it this version runs smoothly ? If not, you'll probably have to revert back to v0.77a until I have acces to my main computer so I can fix it.

I was using v0.8a today. Played for about 4 hours I think. Ran smooth. But I started a mission to destroy a tower and bought the transport helo support. I told them to land in the zone and they got shot and landed, then they started getting out and like seconds after that my FPS went to about 7. Minutes after that it went to < 1. I killed all the crew, but I couldn't blow up the helicopter. I dunno, maybe it's something with this transport.

but version 0,77a is the same. I mean the main problem for me is the AI.. after some times when you capture a zone the commander send reinforcement but they get stuck and tanks etc are blowe up for no reason, then AI team leader tells rest of team to get in tank but they cant because its blowe up. The same goes for version 0.8 aslo heli taxi is stuck sometimes not landing in some zones. And Is there a option to disable the commander to send in reinforcement? I really dont need it since I am only playing with 3 to 4 zones. Or an option to get ride of the dead bodys and tanks that is blowen up? I have been playing this for many hours and I have no doubt this is a question about the AI/reinforcement that is not cleaning up after dead/blowen up, AI that get stucks some were one the map.

Hey kibot, could you put in some debug logging for events like creating a squad, creating a zone, starting a mission, unlocking and using supports, running total of things like ai, zones, vehicles, etc and print that to console (not sure if arma lets you write to a text files) along with the time and fps if possible and then when it starts to lag we can look through the logs.

I get lag after an hour+ or play as well. THings start beautiful (awesome MOD!) and stay good for several missions but as my points increase and presumably my team gets stronger, more AI, and more moving parts, things start to really chug.

Aside from the performance impacts after extended play this is the best thing for Arma3 yet!

Love how the armory automatically loads up modded in weapons as well :)

Keep it up, and here's to hoping you can fix the performance drop bug!

After the last patch its working really good!
I tend to get a little bit of lag after a few hours of playing, but not a game breaker!
A suggestion for future updates would be to include the Arma 3 A.L.I.V.E mod. It makes it possible to have tens of thousands of AI without taking a hit on the performance =)
