How to Rearm AI

This sounds like a noobish question, but how do I get my AI guys to rearm? I cannot figure it out.

Yeagh I am in the same boat. It would be nice to have guys with more than a pistol lol.

Select the unit and press 6 to go to the action menu. Then you can get them to retrieve ammo from a pile on the ground, a crate or nearby vehicle. To easily do this I would buy a car or truck and stock it full of ammo.
