How do you recover stamina/heal yourself at base?

I'm new to ARMA 3 and I can't find anything in the DUWS guide that introduces players to these concepts.

Say you get shot a couple times in a mission or run too far. How do you recover?

You need to save the game at the officer in the HQ or FOB. That heals yourself and all you squadmembers.
