Trade Routes Intensified

Guide
The ultimate money train is shipping fancy stuff from the western hive to the UC. Here's a quick start guide for traders based on the 'trader' start that puts you in Heng:

1) Find the waystation SSW from Heng, run by the tech hunters. Stock up on Sake to trade back to Heng for +50% profit, to make your mark. Sell medkits and medical supplies back to the waystation for +50%.

2) Once you have 10k capital, (after hiring riffraff and getting some gear and what not) do the tour of the UC cities, stocking up on medical supplies, and medkits. Also, grab as much Rum as you can (at -25%).

3) Hit World's End. Offload all medical supplies for +50%. Grab circuit boards and gears

4) Travel south to HN territory, offload all of the rum for +25%.

5) Head into Vain. Buy all of the luxury goods, and pearlware you can afford for -50%. Run up and down the strip. Stay alive, grab the haul. Offload your circuits and gears for +50%. After a week in Vain stocking up on leisure goods, depart.

6) Head back to the UC and offload luxury goods and pearlware for 200%. Profit intensely. For me, that's a week's worth of RL gameplay. YMMV.

There's also business opportunites running Sake from Shark (50%) to Clownsteady or Catun (150%) (big potential profits). Also, running fish from the Hive into the Shek Kingdom (+50%), if you want to get your fingers sticky.

I just did the above, and on the 10k initial investment, got 97k once we'd sold our haul after arriving back in Stoat. And to think we almost gave up in Stack. Had invested everything we had in stock, and the food budget had run out. Starving. Fortunately the one Hiver on the team pepped everyone up talking about all of the fresh meat that could be found in the hive villages. He wasn't wrong. We ate like kings in our little camp in Vain, while we stocked the ox with luxury cups from cats made through the mechanical and electronic sales.

Very helpful guide. I will use some of it, unfortunaly UC dont like me so I have to stay clear from their territory... Unless I send some couriers. *Grimroggan Trade Empire intensifies*

I can't find Grog cheap or higher prices. Not sure where I can sell or buy Grog and make a profit.

HN -> [Grog] -> Swamp -> [Sake, riceweed] -> HN. That should make use of both the + and - on goods.

Though finding Grog in bulk for sale is a little tough. If you're going full trader, then I recommend grabbing both "Farmsteads: Holy Nation (merged)" and "Functioning Market Stalls" as these provide lots more static traders in the holy nation area to hit up looking for grog.
where do you buy iron plates? everywhere i check has >100% price markup

Iron plates are not affected by this mod - seems you're just having bad RNG luck. When there's a price modifier, it's listed clearly as a (+25%) like that next to the base price. If you're getting that next to iron plates, it'll be another mod doing that.
also, where do you buy circuit boards and gears in WE? im not seeing any, and electronics are all >100% markup

If you have the 'Market stalls' mod, many of the little sellers in towns have gears and other random useless machine parts that can be sold to the hive for a profit using this mod. Recommend it! In vanilla, circuit boards can be bought from mechanical shops, usually, the same places that sell mostly building materials. World's End should have at least one of them, or you can try a general shop.

On the >100% markup you're seeing - vanilla behavior is that any good that has a fluctuating price will have random price from 75%-125% rolled when the town is first generated, so in vanilla you have a 50/50 chance of any of these goods being over 100%. So circuit boards in WE might be 107%. With this mod, that random roll still happens, but then on top of that there is the modifier if one is applied. So in vanilla you might buy circuit boards from WE for 107%, and then go to the hive and realize the Hive are buying them for 98%, or 102%. But this mod adds 25-50% on those things for the Hive as a guarantee, so now you know, even if you buy the circuits for 107%, the Hive buy them for 75%-125%+50% (125%-175%). This mod doesn't add a 'discount' place to buy electronics, you still buy them at vanilla prices, but adds a premium for the Hive buying them.

You might need to spend some days in WE stocking up, especially if you have a pack bull you are trying to fill. Part of the rhythm of trading.
