How the TEK Hazard Protection works is simple.. When you equip a full set of TEK armour, you will receive the Hazard protection buff the same way as the Hazmat Suit. When you are in radiation and have element to power the suit you will receive the Polarised Armour buff then if your suit runs out of element and you have no more element in your inventory to refuel it, you will receive the Unpolarised Armour buff and the suit will begin to lose durability until it breaks at a rate of 1 durability per second so with a primitive TEK suit at 300 durability, this will give you 5 minutes to make your escape to a non radiated area.

Key Features:

• Mitigates damage to the suit while powered with element from radiation sources.
  
• If there is no element in at least one piece of the TEK armour, the protection will malfunction and the suit will take damage.
  
• Drains Element at a rate of 1 piece of element approximately every 25 minutes per piece of armour.
  
• Buffs are displayed to keep you aware of the suits current protection status.
  
• Will protect against Managarmr ice freeze effect.
