A troop tree viewer so we can compare troops and see who upgrades into what.
Player and companion kill counts in the after-battle report. This is something that a few mods have. Its fun and pretty useful to see just how well everyone performs in battles
Also, an option to disable bodyguards in town. I find them annoying when there's more then one. They're always getting in my way in taverns, plus they make prison breaks very easy
You suggestions sound reasonable
Btw, bodyguard depends on leadership and renown

TIL, there were two kinds of provinces in Rome, some where the Emperor was in charge of appointing governors, and some - the Senate. The idea was that core peaceful provinces with few legions made a buffer between Rome and those militarized places, so some ambitious governor couldn't just have a legion in Neapolis to call upon when somebody looks at him wrong in the Senate.
Since you already have a Nero vs Senate thing going, and a peaceful quest to get your first town through Nero, it would be cool if there was an alternative way to do it through the Senate. Nero's quest would trigger for a town in imperial provinces, and Senate quest for towns in senatorial ones. This way you could make a political play out of staunchly opposing the Emperor, not just suck up to him to be awarded fiefs like you do in every M&B mod.
Most importantly, though, I would restrict building of the barracks in towns that were senatorial provinces.
Glad you like it. I really look forward to what you are doing with the senate according to your blog, by the way. One of the coolest things about this mod is all the "non-typical M&B" things you can do that feel immersively Roman. And senate politics is such a big part of society and life in Rome, it'll be great to see that grow in prominence.
I really hope politics and building support will some day become a prerequisite and intermediate step to becoming Emperor. Right now it seems too quick. I just started getting my bearings as a lord and suddenly I'm told by magic volcano fumes ;) I just need to talk to the Praetorian Guard commander, who out of the blue goes "sure, I'll totally support you in committing treason against the last in the only dynasty of emperors the empire had so far, just go to Rome and we'll git-er-done". I reloaded after that just to draw out the experience. Senate politics and building a secret coalition would be an excellent intermediate step before starting a civil war.
It would be cool if we could use slaves to boost income from enterprises and towns. Also female slaves could be used to boost party morale (even when they are prisonners), like with camp followers. Perhaps we could sacrifice them in certain locations (like Stonehenge and others) to improve some stats. Maybe you can also think of other ideas, because now they seem useless to me other than just selling them (and I don't see reasons to visit slave markets right now).
I added also a quest in the next version where you must bring x amount of slaves to a roman lord for a construction project. But you are right, there could be more things to do with them
Also I have a question regarding Venus temple - what is the bonus? It says something like "you feel younger" but I didn't see any changes.
Even regardless of slaves, people coming to you with business ideas periodically and asking to patronize them with an investment, which then yields dividends every budget period (or fails) sounds like fun.
Yes, if you use the beggar start, your father was such a slave.
I am quite sure I will not run out of ideas! Hahaha.
Btw, I aready added some of the patron ideas in some senate events. And most of the stuff you discribe will be a thing if I start working on the "Latifundia system".
I know I could create my own fency presentation like other mods have, but I don't like that (because its so time consuming)
(In fact, the code uses the native loot screen.)
