A "base' version without all the drugs, and thus without the need for the raw-healroot change might be useful. Could still have the drugs as a separate mod. The latter could also avoid the raw-healroot issue by just changing the recipies to "bulk" versions.

Regarding the "RC_" prefixes, these are not (yet?) used consistently, e.g. RC_MakeTart vs. MakePastry.

Water or wind powered milling would be a great addition to create more of a progression for tribal starts from muscle-powered to electricty.

You should add scurvy. Colonists who only eat dried meat or hardtack for a long peroids of time will start developing minor symptoms, that you'll be able to prevent by feeding them meals with fruits or berries. (Orange being the most sufficient) If they contuine their unvaried diet they'll eventually get life threatening symptoms. I think this will encourage people to grow a wider variety of plants. I found myself only planting rice and wheat, which is a shame because this mod adds a lot of cool new food types. This is both closer to real life and will make the game a lot more intresting. (in my opinion, i guess adding it as an option could work too.)
Overall i really love this mod, so keep up the good work!

Various cheeses would be cool! More work between the milk and cheese phases, since it does take a lot of work.

Maybe also dairy products in general? Butter, cream, yogurt, I donno.

I wish we had more options for limiting pawns taking whatever recFood available.

Also definately having different plants do better or worse in different tempatures.

In the remake, plants will be available/unavailable based on which biome you're in. For example, Plantain trees would require a tropical rainforest/swamp to be grown.

I may make a cheese/dairy sub-mod for the remake, Its on my list of ideas.

Blank, use the food restriction menu. You can tell them not to use specific snacks if you want - its all there and my mod works seamlessly with it.

That would be helpful!

Yeah, I'm not sure if I messed up my planet or what, but I used a mod to make it just a biitt warmer then normal and now it's constantly anywhere between 100-140 where my guys are set up. It's weird that even cacti and agave are having trouble growing.

Not sure if that temp is really.. normal though.

I just wanted more arid locations and this happened.

While it's entirely possible that I've simply missed it a drug policy for tea/coffee would be excellent as occasionally for recreation pawns will just go nuts on the drinks. Not that I can relate to drinking an unhealthy amount of coffee.
Brom Feb 23, 2019 @ 9:03am
I thought i would brew a motherload of coffee and sell it to everyone visiting my colony and the passing ships but no one seems to want to buy it .... is this intended?
Crustypeanut  [developer] Feb 23, 2019 @ 9:33am
@Brom Its not intended, its something I had overlooked. I'll see if I can get a patch for it soon, even though I'm focusing more on RimCuisine 2 right now.

@Dusty Its intended that I didn't add drug policies for it. Caffeine isn't that bad of a drug as far as rimworld goes, and the pawns don't see it as such and drink as much as they want. Just like in real life ;)

Thanks crusty! loving the mod anyway , keep up the amazing work, cant wait for rimcuisine 2!]

making dried meat less OP by requiring salt. Rock salt deposits can sometimes be found in hills and mountains, they have a pink tint to them and are quite rare, though they yield a lot of salt. secondly you can make 4x4 pit on shallow ocean tiles where salt water will collect, on hot days it'll dry out and you'll be left with salt. This will make settling on the coast more appealing (Like in real life) if adding the drying out thingy is too complicated you could add workingspot instead i guess. Salt will also be commonly sold by traders, which would match real life history as well because people usually didn't dry their own salt :P. Looking foward to rimcuisine 2 though!
