Cannot cook potatoes. do not know about other veggies. only meat. fixed by deleting your mod

Seconding the potato bug, I've had it for a while now (few months, maybe?) but had thought up to this point that it was just user error. Haven't tested it out on other recipes yet, but for some reason my colonists can't use it to make simple meals: it continues to say [needs materials] as if I don't have any potatoes :sad_creep:

Thanks for all your hard work, this is such a wonderful mod!! I appreciate it greatly :happy_creep:

I think I at least know the issue, and it applies to corn, potatoes, and rice. They don't seem to be in any group, and they should be in either grains or vegatables.

I checked and Corn/Rice are in Grains and Potatoes are in vegetables. I'm not sure whats up with this bug for you guys. However, a likely scenario is that you guys have a mod that conflicts by replacing the potatoes/rice/corn/etc defs with one that the mod copied from the core mod.

Since I was still learning how to make mods back when making this mod, I didn't use patches as extensively as I should have - which would have made the compatability bug that you guys are likely seeing.

I've fixed it in RimCuisine 2 by patching in the new categories for those crops though so the bug shouldn't resurface.

Hi! Just letting you know that I'm playing version 1.0.2150 and my colonists are no longer automatically consuming hearty stews. They'll eat them if instructed but will starve if that's the only food option, which is very strange! Thanks so much for this mod, I love it <3

@Graveraves Have you checked to see if they're able to eat it in the food restrictions menu?

I encountered the above bug as well, rice and such was not able to be cooked into meals. I fixed it by putting rimcuisine on the bottom of my list of mods. Not sure which other mod is the actual issue.

@Hexen Its both my mod and another mod conflicting with it. It should be 100% fixed in the remake.

I have just started using this mod, and I'm loving it! I do have a question, though. It seems that the caravan generating process seems not to recognize any of the modded food products as being food for the purposes of travel. I've been having to stop on long trips and manually feed the pawns or they start taking the starvation hit. Is this a normal issue, or do I need to reset something somewhere?

You probably added the mod mid-game right? Make sure all the new food is allowed via their food restrictions.

Hi. I really like this mod, but I have two issues I wanted to know if anyone had some ideas on.

First, when I build an apiary it instantly disappears. I'm running a LOT of mods on the game this happened in, and haven't tested it standalone, so not sure if this is some obscure mod conflict. Rimcuisine is the only food-related mod I'm running though, and I don't get any errors. Just weird... not a major issue, just wanted to know if this is a known problem.

Secondly is a compatibility issue with the Multiplayer mod: I receive an instant desync from the host when interacting with fruit trees. I experienced a desync when planting a fig tree, and again when I accidentally shot it (was hunting a rat, you know how it goes xD). Haven't tested with other trees, but it was a definite issue with figs. Not sure if the mod was intended for multiplayer use, but if was listed by someone as being compatible, so I found this kinda weird.

Having a really positive experience with the mod though! Keep up the good work.

The mod was made well before the multiplayer mod came out. I have no idea how well it works there, nor do I know anything about how the MP mod works.

As for the apiary bit. that seems to be a recurring issue with people, I'm not sure the cause of it and haven't had a chance to look into it. Beekeeping won't be making it into the early versions of RC2, so I haven't really touched on why it might be doing that. My guess is that I did a ♥♥♥♥ job of naming the defs though and theres a compatability error.

Something seems bugged with Cook-O-Matic, can't make any of my colonist work on it.
Crustypeanut  [developer] Apr 29, 2019 @ 7:37pm
@Puggo Just tested it, its working fine. Can you give me some more info? What are you trying to cook with it? Its likely you're missing ingredients.
Lucifall Apr 30, 2019 @ 12:22am
Well added all bills and Literally tried to cook anything. Got over half thousand ingredients like Meat, vegetables etc, also tried to assign A specific cook to Do that, and got only an option "any worker" like my colonist didnt have skill to do that
