Dead Ringer isnt the #2 worst weapon.There are plenty of weapons that are not good. (Wrap asassin,Soda Popper etc). My worst weapon in the game would be the Fan O War. It does almost no damage and all it does is "marks you for death." I mean, doing that just to mark them to death would get you killed right away when you should be pushen carts and capping points.

the dead ringer is really usefull, i go on really high streaks with it if you pair it up with the icicle

@The Taunt Killing Hero - The Wrap Assassin is not a very practical weapon, yes.. but it has its niche. For example, someone who wanted to get better with the sandman might use it, so they don't lost ten extra health. The Soda Popper? That is basically an upgrade to the FaN (which, by the way, is a TERRIBLE weapon in my humble opinion). Why would you want to have slow reload times and cause knockback, when you can get mini-kritz to all of your weapons and unload them onto enemies, killing them in less time than it takes to shoot four FaN shots (the norm) or even two FaN shots and a reload? Might I add, to your belief that the Fan O War is the worst weapon in the game, it is most definitely not. Unless you are using the Sandman, the Scout does not use his melee unless he is screwing around. Because of this, equipping the Fan is not a really lost slot (as opposed to equipping the Mantreads on the Soldier instead of the Shotgun when you aren't messing around). Think, the Scout already excels at close range, and (overall) the stock scattergun is the best, so who's to say you couldn't pull out the Fan, run to a heavy, hit him once, then back out, switch back to your scatter, come in again, and wipe him in two or three shots? Besides that, I'm not even going to say how useful the Fan is in MVM against giant robots (or fully buffed bomb carriers).
@simonhvdh - You see, the dead ringer is a fairly useful weapon, but it is hated by nearly everyone who doesn't use it. Back when the Enforcer was crazily overpowered and the Spy-cicle was just implemented into the game (Christmas 2011), EVERYONE hated any spy using the "Dr. Enforcicle" set (Dead Ringer, Enforcer, Spy-cicle). Now of course the Enforcer is slightly nerfed, but the power of that set still trumps most any other spy set. Still, the Dead Ringer with the Saharan Spy set causes a lot of hate. One of the only things that people won't complain about is using the Kunai with the Dead Ringer, because you've lost so much health that if you don't equip it you're missing out and will die a lot more often.

You're a moron. Just because YOU can't use these useful weapons correctly doesn't mean they suck. I'm terrible with the YER, but I CAN acknowledge that it can be a very powerful weapon and can dominate a team. The soda popper is the 2nd BEST scattergun in my opinon. Free mini-crits. Oh and BTW the wrap assassin is basically a direct upgrade to the bat because if you are a scout, you shouldn't be using your melee unless you are pan or ham trolling. The scattergun does MUCH more damage than the bat at close range.

Man you guys are really bad at this.
The DR is a weapon that makes you 100% invisible, and gives you 90% damage reduction, and it can be refilled to 100% charge with 200 metal.

The only way to make this worse is if you gave Engineers a sentry gun that has the same range/lock on/push back as a level 1, but have it cost half as much and still need 2 rockets to take it down.

Don't forget about the Axtinguisher, insta-kill on 8/9 classes and a 2 hit kill on the Heavy at a range the pyro should already be at. It's basically a backstab from all directions. Combine it with the Degreaser and you easily have the most powerful pyro loadout in the game.

True,true...... but you got to remember that the scout takes the place of 2 people on a cap point. This makes him a great way to get the capture points faster so you can advance. (the same goes for KOTH. Its a good way to control the point)

@Wheatley Dont you see the "75% less damage" in the stats? Also, these are my picks on my worst weps, not yours.

EDIT: I relize that you should not be using your bat alot as a scout,but as i said the 75% damage cant do alot. Atlest the sandman has only a little bit like 25%. And before you say it, with the Wrap assassin, you can only make the enemy bleed, unlike the sandman where you can STUN them to get away if you run into a heavy or a demopan.If you use the Wrap Assassin they can still kill you there just bleeding.

@ZAB I think you have some good points,but the Wrap Assassin is like if you took the Fan o War and smashed it with the sandman. Just like i told wheatley it can only make them bleed

The soda popper does do crits, i understand, but do you really want to camp around and wait for the right timing to unlesh your crits? I relize it can be called a Upgrade but a heavy, demo, or another scout that is better than you can take you out


The Fan o War IMO will always be the worst weapon. I see your point on that combo you were talking about, but whos to say that there isnt a medic,demo,or even a sniper to get you before you even get a chance to do it. Plus, you shouldnt most at the time be running at heavys. You should most of the time be capping and pushing carts.

The Wrap Assassin isn't supposed to be used to hurt people. It's supposed to be used as a training weapon for the sandman. Good thing too, because it took them long enough to implement it!
The Soda Popper does mini-kritz. Really, it's not hard to store mini-kritz. All you have to do is run around until the meter is almost full, then switch to your secondary or melee, and quickly switch back to the primary to trigger them, giving you several seconds of high-damage output, which brings me to my next point. The Scout, Sniper, and Spy are often called "Pick" classes. Sure, the Scout's main abilities are the fastest speed in the game and the ability to capture points twice as fast, but chances are on a KOTH map the Scout will not be alone capturing the point, because of his low health. This also applies to CP, 5CP, and PL maps. Honestly, though, the Scout serves better purpose running behind enemy lines, distracting everyone, ruining their push, and KILLING THE MEDIC. I can't stress how important it is for one of the three "Pick" classes to KILL THE MEDIC. Killing a Medic basically ruins the enemy team, allows your team time to push as they fall back because they need health packs, and gives your team (if you have a medic up) the Uber advantage.
The Fan O War I can't really combat, because even if I state many different points to prove yours wrong, in your opinion it will still be your "worst weapon".
