HELP
Fire is not working. It's invisible. I disabled all of my mods and it worked. I tried removing the mod FA:S. Didn't help. I have over 1000 mods so I can't track down any mod. Here's some console stuff. All text is in red aside from the "Spawning textscreens" and "[PAC3] Requesting outfits..."

Requesting texture value from var "$basetexture" which is not a texture value (material: pp/copy)
Error creating 'vfire_ball' (Make sure the file is AddCSLuaFile'd and there aren't any errors!)

you can try a few things.

1. uninstall vfire, open your developer console with "~." then, run "menu_cleanupgmas." reinstall vfire and see if that made your game run better.
2. uninstall all your addons (the nuclear option!!!) make a list of your favorites beforehand so you can hunt them down and reinstall them.
3. go to steam and verify gmod's game cache... steam should try and repair any broken or missing files.

that's about all I can offer for now. good luck!

So I was being lazy and was putting this off and then it just started working... I don't know what I did. So I'm unsubbing from this discussion

OH NVM. The mod was disabled and I didn't know. The probs are still here. Ok I'll try the thing you suggested.

I decided to go through ALL of my addons. I know I said "I can't track down any mod" so I just uninstalled whatever I don't use. I'm currently on page 30 and it worked! Now Vfire is fixed. I'll still go through the rest of them cause that could improve a lot of things like lag. Unsubbing from discussion for real now. Edit: Nah I'm too lazy I'm not gonna go through the rest.

There is several ways. Some vehicles that explode may do it, I recommend using explosive addons like a C4, or using the vFire flamethrower/ gas can.

dude it maybe an broken addon or a addon that not for this mod I will try Cturi CW 2.0 and the FA:S and for the last the Effect addons
