Sid Meier's Civilization V

SMAN's Privy Council - The Monarchs
Multiplayer Is Broken
when I tried playing modded multiplayer with my friend, this mod was completely inoperable. Instead of seeing my own government and the governments that I've interacted with, I saw my friend the host's, despite the fact that I had never even met his civ up to this point. Whenever I tried to click the change government button, the only option was anarchy, regardless of whether I had unlocked any other governments. I never tested if the host could play the game correctly, but it seems like a pretty big issue either way.

Thanks Dave, Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. I'm finally in the process of updating this mod. It was never intended for MP, but I'll take a stab at trying to rework the code so it might work.

Question: are you and your friend playing Hotseat? I can actually test that, but any more complicated ways of multiplaying are beyond my ability to test. If I can get the code working, would you mind helping test the new version?

Thanks.

@davetheorist.666 - the newest version (V3) has removed all of the things that generally break multiplayer, and I re-wrote several sections of the mod to make sure the logic of the mod wasn't "player 0"-centric. Hopefully, this makes the mod more accommodating to MP.

If you do try to use it, please let me know how it's behaving and maybe I can figure out a work-around. The latest version works much better than the previous one, so I'm sure it would be even better in the MP environment.

Thanks!

Hey S-Man,

A friend and I are using this mod for multiplayer as well, but I found an issue if the game is set on hybrid. It does not allow you to change governments because it sets itself up on another player's government screen instead, like what davetheorist.666 had issues with. Setting it to sequential seems to fix the problem, but I am testing that right now. I'll get back to you if I find anything else.
