Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition

Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition

Patriarchy Mod v1.1
Good idea
'How would you guys feel about reverting the female chance spawn to their normal values but removing the option to have female generals for every faction except Kush, Scythia, etc? So the mod would only remove the option to make females generals for only the factions that historical proof of it being somewhat common. '
That's the best idea. Implement it. Thanks a lot.

Yeah I just posted the same idea. Except I would add that any barbarian faction should have the option of having their faction leader as a general, so they have the potential to field a warrior queen like Boudica.

That's historically accurate. Plenty of marriageable and politically active daughters, but no Madame General spam.
So, the last update do that things you're mentioning here ? because I can't verify via PFM because all the db tables are in red (PFM schema for the last patch RotR isn't working)

I've noticed the way the mod is currently, it severely hurts your ability to make unions with other political parties through marriage since there's so few women. I might make a seperate version like you stated.
I can't see inside db tables because PFM show them in red.....

Right click the tables from my mod and add them into your own pack and you should be able to edit and even make your own mod. Magnar on YouTube makes pretty good tutorials on this.

I would say, yes normal political women spawn but NO generals. The historical reports of women "generals" are dubious and very in-between. The examples people pull up are usually really *queens* who would in some instances accompany the army but didn't fight. The 50% for Kush is pure fantasy, based on a legend that never happened about queen Kandake meeting Alexander the Great in battle. Even 10% is too much. Even 1% is too much. But given what Oatman says about the mod affecting the game's politics, we could keep political women and drop generalas. Essentially, make all factions function as Rome does in this regard.

they should implement a family tree, and not a "important political people of your house tree" and then put influence as a separate value, even in the base game, you have to struggle to just create another branch of the family

I would change availability of female generals to Scythia if it were possible without making all nomadic factions have female generals. If there were more customization and freedom with mod tools, I would happily change it that way.
I am hoping that this still works in 2025.... I just started a campaign and ladies are running half of the known world.... so stupid...
