Weapon ideas
I love this mod and i know its going to get updated with new weapons so heres some ideas i came up with, 2 machine guns, and 2 pistols

Madsen M1902 - a lmg used by Germany in ww1. It could be like the current lewis gun, hip fire but to aim down sights you got to deploy bipod

Reichsrevolver - A German revolver

Vickers Machine Gun - British machine gun used in ww1. Could be like the current mgo8, only used with bipod

Lancaster pistol - A Multi-barrel pistol. I dont think it was used that much, and I dont want to turn this in BF1 weapons mod, but it would be a cool pistol for the commonwealth

I might update this when I think of new weapons that could work, but for now this is what I think could work

Reichsrevolver is in the works, that's all I can say for now.

Completely forgot about it, lol.

To fit the theme of the thread, British Assault could use a second primary weapon too, Auto-5 doesn't seem to cut it most of the time, rendering the class useless, unlike the german sturmmann.
The Lancaster is kind of a silly inclusion, considering that it wasn't ever officially adopted. BF1 just kind of grasped whatever they could find to slam it in there, not that i'm really complaining about that. But it wouldn't be cool if i started seeing weapons like the Selbstlader M1916 in this game.

Maybe add the meme ross rifle for the rifleman, and you could maybe add a gewehr m95 for the germans

OR MAYBE, but ONLY maybe.... enjoy what the mod has to offer!
That's a good option too!

Germans never fielded Mannlicher 1895 to my knowledge, and even if they did, i doubt it was in significant numbers. Not even mentioning, that we most likely can't make correct feeding system for the thing in current doi build.

its a shame, but what can you do if the base game doesnt have a straight pull system. although, maybe you could have another meme option: a sawn-off smle? it'd be like the one in verdun, forcing players to push forwards. it'd have to be for assault though, other wise some new player might see it and get a bad impression.

Guns are already inaccurate though and people don't liek it, so how could short SLME improve anything?

its a different option to an auto-5
it would be pretty iffy, but still would add options. also, i didnt mean to make it sound like a better version of an smle or anything, itd have a quick ads time, along with a probably faster fire-rate considering the much less bulk on it. on the other had, the iornsights might be chopped off depending how short you cut it, so that along with more recoil from the trouble of getting a better grip on it, would be a few negatives i can think of off my head.
edit: i didnt think much before posting, so i added a bit more to it.
edit 2, cant spell apparantly, and added some cons to the list

Why add a worse version of an already existing weapon? How would it improve anything?

it would have different ups and downs to it, it just depends on how you look at it in the end.

on the other side of things, (idk if its possible or theres some kind of limitations) potentially you could add a type of bayonet designed for the webley (i forget the name of it, but it would be a nice potential addition). would definetly advocate pushing, and also looks pretty nice. the cons would be additional weight, meaning longer ads and a slightly lower accuracy.

I do aggree, I just felt like I wanted to make it even for the sides, 1 new mg for each faction, 1 new pistol for each faction

How about adding a pump-action shotgun for the UK Assault class for 4 points?
This class is very limited in the choice of equipment, because the AUTO-5 costs 6 points and makes the loadout very monotonous unlike the German Assault class, which has a pistole-08 which costs 2 points.
