Update Suggestions
I wanna start off and say that while I don't think the mod necessarily needs anything else because it's already the most fun I've had playing DOI so far, but if there are some updates in the works, I thought I would put out my suggestions for discussion. Some of the things I throw out may not be exactly great for game balance cause I didn't think about it that close and just thought it'd be cool lol so take my suggestions with a grain of salt.


Bomber Class:
I love the bomber class for the common wealth because it shows just how important explosives were in the first world war, especially on trench maps like Somme & Passchendale. Though since the bomber is forced to get right into the fray and can clear out trenches and rooms effectively, I find my self capping points more often as opposed to being an infantryman, and end up with lots of extra supply points. I thought some high cost options for the bomber class that would make it more versitile but hopefully not more overpowered. First could be a deployable mortar, such as the2-inch trench mortar (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2-inch_medium_mortar), and could cost upwards of 10 supply, take up the main weapon class, and have 1 or 2 shots and possible round upgrades for HE or AP (again IDK how possible this is since its a mod but just spitballing). Another could be a sawed off double barreled shotgun that takes up the main weapon slot but cancels the pistol slot and have it cost something like 8 supply. I also think having more of the explosive slots be able to use the hair brush would be nice, I don't think they're too over powered cause they have such a short range and are kinda hard to throw imo.

It also would be nice to see somewhat of a comparable class on the german side cause it'd be so fun to deck out a german bomber with discushandgranate. but The Commonwealth would probably also have to get another special class akin to the flamethrower to even it out.


Other weapons:
A Kukri to use as a melee that is one hit would be cool (possibly only available for a gurka regiment)

Anti-Tank rifle for the sniper class (or even its own class), cost many supply and fires something like the explosive bullets from the strafing run that can hit enemys behind cover. would be a single shot bolt action so very slow firing rate. Options being the Mauser 1918
T-Gewehr for the Germans ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauser_1918_T-Gewehr )

British Infantry could have an option for a Winchester M1907 lever action rifle. Very quick action for quick firing but a slow reload time as there is no stripper clip option.



Maps:

Landing at ANZAC Cove, or the landing at Gaba Tepe, was part of the Amphibious invasion of Gallipoli. It would be ANZAC forces vs Ottoman Turks (who used many of the same weapons as the German empire). The battle could be similar to Dog Red in format, as in a large beach with a ridge the ANZAC must take and some positions beyond that. But it would be less fortified with pill boxes and possibly more trenches leading up to the points. and the scenery and lanscape would obviously differ as well.

Second Battle of Ypres, was the first mass use of poison gas by the German Army on the western front, so I thought this map could be similar to Somme or Passchendale with lost of trenches, but the cool down time for calling in mustard gas is cut in half so its like Ypres all over again. This may actually be super annoying but I thought it could be cool so it's open for debate.



All in all I love this mod, it feels very authentic to the WW1 experience and the developers who made it did a great job. If anyone has a link to Dev donations or anything that'd be great, I've played almost as much of this mod as I have vanilla DOI so I would be happy to contribute. Also like that my webley skin mod still works
