How to deal with Corvettes as the Empire?
Pretty much the title. The only Hunter-class ship in the Imperial arsenal is the Escort Carrier which doesn't seem to do a whole lot for me. What else is good against massive frigate/Corvette swarms?

IPVs work pretty well and raiders are good vs fighters and corvettes, gladiators do fine vs both too

Gozantis work great in this role too. theyre very tough and although they have flak turrets they are tough enough to handle corvettes.

Although i'd recommend them for that role if you run low on resources.

I agree with this. Get to IPV-1 crafts as soon as possible. While their Target Lock ability is active, they are effective against Fighters, Bombers, Corvettes and Frigates, and can assist against Cruisers and Capital ships by focusing hardpoints with their Assault Missiles.

They are also cheap and fast to produce, and as long as just 1 of the two in a squadron survives, the entire unit survives(they also have Seeker Warhead Countermeasure).

As soon as I get access to them, I stop building Gozanti's completely.

Raider Corvettes are technically better vs Fighters, Bombers and Corvettes, but they are nearly 3x more expensive, they take more tactical population, they take longer to build, and they are less effective against Frigates and Cruisers.
IPV1 and raiders, I usually go raiders late game but still retain some IPV1s for suicide missions e.g. going out far to take out incoming bombers. You may also use bombers and heavy tie models to kill off corvettes. Keep them healed and the cost (esp. for raiders) is not so bad.
Bombers are good too

Usually before I use my bombers to engage a capital ship I usually try to get rid of any enemy fighters or anti fighter corvettes/frigates. So I will assign my fighters to their fighters, and bombers vs their anti-fighter flak

Gozanti squad - 4x Light Dual LC do hit decently hard vs fighters and corvettes for their cost. Pair them with TIE Bombers vs corvettes. + you get a bunch of fighters too.

TIE-Bombers - Assault Missiles. Decently hard hitting + armor debuff. Pair with Gozanti or TIE-Brutes for dps.

TIE-Brute - Lots of heavy lasers. Get the Gozanti carrying those for 16x Heavy Lasers per squad + the Gozantis firepower. Very cost effective vs corvettes, especially considering the loss of the Brutes doesn't matter if you keep the Gozanti alive.

IPV - 6x Heavy Dual Laser and 4x Assault Missiles per squad for just 1000 credits. Those may just be the most cost effective anti-corvette units in the empire's arsenal.

XG1 - 12x Heavy Laser and 12x Heavy Ion Blaster per squad with a pile of missiles added on, very effective against corvettes, frigates, and light cruisers.

Nebulon B2 - 4x Heavy LC is a bit meh, but the 2x 5-burst heavy concussion missiles are specifically for dealing with corvettes. But lacks a bit in dps. Pair with Raider.

Raider - Probably the best anti-fighter/corvette unit the empire can get. So many guns for quite a lot of damage output vs the small stuff, but very vulnerable to missiles itself. Pair with Nebulon B2 with it's missile defence for one very scary combo.
