On on the large (190 planet) galactic conquest map, as the empire, my game crashes (game completely freezes except for mouse movement) every time I blow up Yavin with the Death Star. I've had lag spikes, and my game is already laggy on the galactic map as i'm in the very late game and my computer isn't good, but only Yavin has had this crash so far.
and the 2nd one is there is this specifif task for me to conquer eriadu sector (malastare, naboo, sullust and eriadu) since like week 10+ ish cant be completed EVEN if i alrd conquer all 4 planet, is there something else im missing or it is just bugged cus like im on week 435 now and battle of endor alrd finished and it is still an uncompleted task
Same problem here.
AFAIK some have switched back to 32-bit via steam settings (properties > betas?) in case the late game gets increasingly laggy and that seems to help. I suspect you may also lose your save games then ? Also stability may then not be so good as 64bit seems to have improved that somewhat. However if you have lag from start it might be something else e.g. CPU too weak (game runs on 1 core so even if you have many cores it won't help, high clock does help however). I believe I am running on 64-bit as I see the 32-bit option listed under "betas" and my game never got laggy except in some ground battles in my very recent TR and AOTR (3.3 /2.11 versions) playhtroughs that lasted until turn 120-140 or so. Using a 5600x cpu btw. You could ofc investigate if something else is hogging the core the game runs on and then switch core etc. I believe I have admin rights set on the 2 exe files and perhaps also "winxp compatibility mode" maybe.
You may want to browse the TR and FOTR steam forums as well as those eaw mods have the same lag issue since the 64bit patch was released recently. Sadly this situation is new and many have lag issues but AFAIK no silver bullet fix has been found...yet.
Empire, standard 190-world campaign.
There was some funkiness earlier during the campaign map. I discovered Endor and built the DS2 before the mission log began the probe-searching for a suitable location to build the DS2. Weeks had to pass before occasional updates to that mission tree completed, eventually triggering the mission to send a fleet to Endor. I did, as well as sent Vader and the Emperor there. Many weeks passed before the battle of Endor triggered, at which time Vader and Palps disappeared from the planet as well as their icons on the campaign map.

I find that saving during the land battles seemingly prevents any crashes, so its a good idea to save frequently especially during land battles.
I have two buttons for the ISD II (not advanced) and the Victory II ISD (not advanced)

Is this how its supposed to work?
