Do the creators think it would be a good idea to have a map with the Black Sun as a minor faction?
I remember in a recent version there was a map with the dark red (being neutral systems), 1/3 of the map being Empire, 1/3 being the Rebels, and rest being the Black Sun. However, you couldn't play the Black Sun in the version? Any change the creators think that would be a good idea in terms of having some neutral planets (like Geonisis ), a minor Black Sun faction, and the Empire as well as Rebels the main factions?

Black Sun is a minor faction in Coruscant surrounded GC. I personally am a fan of making them a smaller faction on a few maps but the dev team is divided on that.

Yeah it is a great. However, one cannot play as the Black Sun in CS. Any idea why?

It was decided by the map creator that people wouldn't want to play it if it wasn't a major faction, and that it would be incredibly difficult only starting with one sector. I do think it should still be there for the challenge though for those who want it. You could submit an idea on our discord about it, might help me argue for it if players visibly agreed.

For me the problem with black sun are the corruption mechanics. It is imply annoying to have to build agents 24/7 in order to remove the corruption all the time. Without doing that they will just attack the least defended worlds behind your main lines. Maybe it should be reworked.

No plans to change the corruption system. It's a core part of the Black Sun which makes them fun to play as, and that outweighs the annoyance of having to deal with it as another.

You don’t really have to build agents to remove corruption. Several major heroes can do it. It only really gets annoying if you fall behind.
