@Everyone, we have a patch with our testers which should solve various bugs, crashes and AI problems that people have experienced since the update to 2.8.1.

@Everyone, for those who haven't noticed, a patch dropped last night. Full patch notes are on our discord, but to summarise, this brings fixes to crashes and the hero assassination and rescue systems, alongside ground ai improvements and balance changes.

@Everyone, I can confirm that we will be releasing another patch soon to fix various bugs. This includes the ai's habit of rushing landing zones. The first iteration of the patch is already with our testers.

@Everyone, 2.8.1 patch 2 is now live. Full change notes on our discord, but in summary this was mostly to fix various bugs, including ai rushing landing zones, Vader's rescue mission breaking, and ATAT balancing. The patch will work with existing saves, although if you have lost Vader already and completed the inquisitor training mission prior to that, then he is gone for the remainder of that campaign.

Development Summary: For those who aren't aware, we are currently focused on completely reworking space combat, using some of the same ideas we have already applied to ground. This is a long process but we think it will be worthwhile, though it is probably 6 months until we release it as version 2.9.
To follow our development in depth, we strongly recommend engaging with our discord, which includes a sneak peaks section and a channel for players to pitch their own ideas for improving the mod.

@everyone, if you weren't aware, patch 3 is now live. This fixes a range of bugs and rebalances a couple of things, see the changelog for details. It should be save game compatible, though story changes will only apply to fresh playthroughs. Our hope is that no further patches are necessary, and so the next update will be our space rework, coming sometime next year.

@Everyone, a significant patch (enough to be named AotR version 2.8.2!) is now live! Check out the changelog for details. This patch is save game compatible.

@Everyone, we have been receiving a fair few reports of increased numbers of crashes in space battles since the patch, which is quite frustrating for all of us. One current theory is that it at least some are connected to Ackbar, but investigations are still in progress. To help us fix this, please include as much detail as possible in bug reports, including what units were involved and what was happening at the time of the crash. If you have save files from just before a crash took place we would love to take a look at them - please post them and your bug report on our discord if so.

@Everyone, we have released a small hotfix which should fix some of the crashes people have been experiencing, including those said be Ackbar related. It will auto update so you'll barely notice it happened. Please keep providing bug reports and saves where possible :)

@Everyone, for those who haven't noticed, we released a second quick hotfix last night aimed at further fixing space crashes. Keep the bug reports coming when crashes happen, we appreciate people's willingness to help us out.

To clarify, we are releasing a hotfix when we've found errors in the code that have caused people crashes. There are almost certainly other errors out there we haven't found yet, but we are confident that the hotfixes released are at least partially solving the issue.

@Everyone, we have just released a third hotfix, to fix some crashes in space combat and when loading saves.

@everyone, hotfix 4 was released last night. We're confident that each fix does solve the cause of crashes it addresses, but there are multiple causes and we may not have yet found the one responsible for the majority of crashes.

@everyone, 2.8.2 Hotfix 6 is now live, check the changelog for details. Update is save compatible. This should fix the merc bug people have been having and also problems with empire story missions
