Permadeath? Vader, Thrawn etc.
So I was playing and Vader died pretty early in the campaign. About a hour in i havent got any missions about vader coming back or no respawning time for him to come back. Is he dead throughout the game or would he eventually come back ?

Some characters, including Vader and Thrawn, have to be rescued by conquering a certain planet. It will appear on the mission board after a certain period of time.

You should receive a rescue mission after ten or 15 weeks. We have heard that this might be bugging out for some people and are investigating. A patch will be released with a fix if so.

That happened to me a couple of hours ago, while streaming on twitch xD, but after almost 20 weeks no rescue mission :(

I'm currently having the same issue with Vader, so I can't do The Hunt Mission on Hoth. Is there a way you can get him back by somehow manually triggering the rescue mission or by editing the save file?

I'm also having a problem with the Vader rescue mission not appearing. He died toward the start of my CG game and I'm well over a hundred weeks in now. Looking forward to a patch.

We are aware of the issue and are looking into it. We will probably release a fix to this alongside a set of other fixes.

Is Veers one of the heroes that can be rescued? Or will he die forever?

Veers is a major hero and so he can be rescued.

Oh good, because some Rebel rocket infantry decided it was a good idea to kill him.

Maybe protect him better in the future lol?
But yea, Vader and Thrawn are perma dead for me. The Emperor and Veers come back though.

Vader is a known issue, will be fixed soon. Thrawn is a strange one though
