Problems / Issues / Bugs ⚠️
Please read this before posting

Known Issues:

- if you are using iCUE and want to switch it off, you have to reload the wallpaper. Thats because Wallpaper Engine will run in exclusive iCUE mode once started and I cant stop it from inside the wallpaper.
===> https://imgur.com/a/9g0l7KE <===

If you have an issue with the wallpaper (e.g. it's going blank after a while) or it doesn't do what you expect, please try to reset the settings first:
- select the wallpaper
- scroll way down in the settings
- click the "Reset" button
- try changing your desired settings again

If this does not help, leave a comment with the details on what went wrong, and what the "expected" behaviour is. Please include in the text, what you did at the time (e.g. changed Setting xyz or stopped playing music, paused the wallpaper, etc).

The more details - the better :)

Thanks for reading and sorry in advance for any inconveniences.

The speed is considerably slower. Happens when my Wallpaper Engine is set to a low fps, such as 25fps. It used to be 15-25 before and this visualizer played in 60fps regardless. Now it obeys my global setting, slowing it down. Hope there's a way you can fix this. It was fine before the previous update.

I went ahead and fixed it myself. Wondering if I may upload this (giving you credit of course) or if you wanted to do so yourself? Mine is locked to 60fps while yours relies on the user's setting. I think it'd be nice to have two different versions so the user can decide which to use.

Hey there,
yes the zoom speed is currently fps-dependent.
I plan to make it independent of that in the next version (so lagg spikes would also still look smooth). But the wallpaper limiting the fps by wallpaper-engine settings is actually intended behaviour - or what do you mean?

Also: when you've got a fix of some sort, feel free to share it on pastebin or something else and post a link, so I can take a look at it :)

It was a really simple fix, I just changed the variable to the number 60. Here's a screenshot, you can easily find it by navigating to the same line in main.js. https://i.imgur.com/AQ8XyTV.png

The skin doesn't look good at all when it is under 60fps, so this is the only skin I've come across where I think not allowing the fps to be controlled by wallpaper engine's global setting is beneficial. Perhaps make the fps control a setting within the skin itself? That would be perfect!

Sorry for not responding for a while.
And sorry that you feel disappointed about the fps Lock \:
I thought it would be good for people with bad hardware to implement this feature of wallpaper engine but I guess youre right that at the moment it doesnt really look good with values < 60.

Ill probably make it a wallpaper setting then :)

Thank you for the update! I think making it a setting is a very good decision and I appreciate you making this change.
Future work can be looking into a way to not tie the motion to fps, so that reducing fps does not slow down the motion. Currently if I set it to 20fps it just cuts the speed to a third. Along with an fps slider, engine-fps independence will be the most substantial improvement you can make to this amazing wallpaper, and I look forward to your updates. :)

The new update 1.5 seems to have the same black screen issue as a while ago. My 60fps edited version of the previous one that I've made still works fine.

Hey, thanks for reaching out again.
This probably happened after changing one of the "Advanced Settings" right?
It seems like there is an error with automatically reloading the wallpaper.
Im working on it now.

workaround:
after you changed any of the Advanced Settings (and screen goes black), select another wallpaper and re-selet this wallpaper (like it was before).

I actually just took the JSON from the previous version I edited and imported it to the new version. I didn't try editing the settings manually.

And it keeps going black with the old settings version?
If so, can you please try resetting the config and see if the issue persists?

I havent changed that much with the settings in the background, but perhaps this leads to incompability.

Sure, I've reset the settings and will try using it for a little while.

Okay, it was working for the past 13 minutes, and then I loaded my preset and it immediately went black. So we know for sure something in my preset is the cause.

Here is my preset:

Awesome, thanks! I'm trying it out.

Im not sure if its a bug on your end but I noticed the audio input device does not like realtek high definition audio. It is my default speakers of 5.1

I selected asus speakers on my monitor and it was working great. Just no sound comming out very well.
