Does anyone else's peeling victims not scream?

I'm doing a skin bandit roleplay and thought the first sight of them peeling at Skinhouse HQ was real neat, since the victims scream in agony. When building my own from this mod and putting conscious people into it, they're almost always just silent. Anyone know a fix?
