Can you get Peeler Machine blueprint without meeting Savant in 2023? How is this mod useless?
@Today, on How it’s Made
Kenshi's "corpse disposal" job was always wonky, sadly Peeler Machine is no exception to that. Sometimes the only way to get rid of corpses is by dismantling the machine and then reloading your save.
If anyone knows of a mod where there is this thing but does not require requirements that will take hours for a new player to do it let me know. (yes I know a veteran could get all the stuff super quick, congrats, I am not one)
Would it be possible to make this a job? So that someone can just automatically grab bodies and put them in the peeler
Atm they're spinning the wrong way.. this isn't an functional issue of course... it just.. visually looks wrong xnx
I've just created a brand new save, tested the mod and it seems to work as intended.
Did you check under POWER category in building mode? Here's how it looks for me - https://i.imgur.com/9BZdsMe.png
Do you have any other mods installed that could conflict this one? Something that uses Peeler Machine as well perhaps?
Thanks! It should work now as intended.
If your character limbs don't fall at all, even if at -1 health, then you need to set 'Dismemberment' frequency under 'Gameplay' section in game settings - https://i.imgur.com/hin2SE0.png
As for ways to remove only certain limbs, well... one idea that comes to mind is to find and equip armor with specific limb coverage. For example - if you want to hack off only your arms - equip armor with low arm coverage (and decent leg coverage). Then throw the fellow into the machine and that way your arms should fall off before your legs.
With that method there are even certain armors that allow you to chop off specific limbs, eg. Trader's Leathers cover only 10% of the characters left arm. Beware though - your armor will be destroyed.
After you research Peeler Machine on Research Bench III, or buy the blueprint from Black Desert City Scraphouse vendor for 10,000c, it should appear in Build Menu - Electrics category. Make sure that you've enabled the mod in the launcher (I described how to do it in the comment below). You can also check if there's a mod conflict by disabling other mods and testing then if you can research and/or build Peeler Machine.
When you click play button on Steam, select "Play Kenshi" as you normally would. Then when the small window pops up, switch to "Mods" tab and there you need to tick the box next to "Peeler Machine". Confirm by clicking OK and you're good to go.

I've just checked and everything seems to be in order. Are you sure you have the mod enabled in the launcher?
You can buy it at Black Desert City Scraphouse vendor for 10k cats or research on Research Bench III.
Switch 'Dismemberment' option under 'Gameplay' section in game settings - https://i.imgur.com/hin2SE0.png
Is this what was originally intended for vanilla?
I've just checked and, on stable version, Peeler Machine still produces Animal Skins. Are you sure that none of your other mods is interfering with this one?

You need to enable it first. While launching Kenshi click on the "Mods" tab and tick a checkbox next to Peeler Machine.
