Get ready for a wall of text, but these are my issues and I'd rather drop them in a discussion forum for the modpack than just leave text blocks everywhere. It really does look like I'm complaining but I'm trying to be critical and relay my personal issue. *Please*, take part in it.

I really like this mod pack, but being critical is necessary. It's nice to see these 20 yr old maps again and to fight the ai, but I'm not so sure about the amount of enemy towers placed, the prevented slower progress or goodness forbid ambushers.

Good god the ambushers, In my testing even with Huge starting forces 4 ISDF assault tanks, the ones with plasma that are meant to long range the enemy can get soloed by a single ambusher tower and it's minions.

That's why this is a discussion (Also a cry for help), but with me and a friend either we have less experience, there is something wrong happening, or the choice of damage values or health emplaced on these towers feels like instead of being a mix of challenge and reward, maybe wasn't tested beforehand.

10-15 yrs ago I never saw ambushers before. I really dislike them, whip around back to challenge/reward. It's okay to have something very difficult and learn something from it but I don't see it here. Push too far ahead on the map? when you pull away, the ambushers tower will not stop until your entire base is destroyed, these things are so out for blood it's insane.

Artillery towers suck, for me the counter is using the ISDF heavy avenger with the hornet rckt, it has become my friend, but (and again, this is my testing, so it's my opinion) being *forced* to use different ships to solve the situation is the way it should be done. I don't like having higher starting units, I feel forced to use it but maybe that's my poor progression and use as a commander. But what about the non ISDF that don't have the 250m+ range of a hornet rckt?

However, the hornet invalidates mortars (not like they weren't useless anyway) because I can at least stay out of the range of the scion triple laser towers. And these triple lasers that literally take only 1 second to delete heavy armor (triple and a laser, what do you expect). These things are worse than ambushers (Scion master race). I don't know how any race can deal with these fairly.

I'm not trying to make it easier, it's just me and 1 other person, hell maybe that's my problem.

Thank you for spending your time to read this, I think I really am on to something. There was a discussion block that also says something similar like I just did back in 2019. If you have any info that could help or hell, even take the time out of your day, show me, because what better way to learn than to take part in the event yourself.

Sorry I'm only just now seeing this post. Which map specifically are you talking about? I felt that when I added the ambusher statues to maps that I made sure they were out of range of the human base so that they could not bother you when you are trying to build up your base. As far as how I deal with them, especially the ones that I know i placed high up on a perch was to build numerous APCs to kill them.
