I'm definitely considering these for the big update!
i'm ok it 3/4 idea for this but...
i'm not fan of T'Monika idea you have(a bit boring in my opinion). here my take on it fell free to criticise.
Tainted Monika:So lonely...

make a random TMTRAINER still familiar (like "a lost fly", "??? only friend", "brother bobby" too even "charm enemies" or "a esau") made out of not only tboi but all so ddlc asset. + corrupt everything in the room. this can delete tings, make tings, making tings worst or better.
(making gaper's in too fly or a key, to spawning host next to you, do a Jera rune or make the room a white empty void for example)
disability: "even monster don't love you"
make enemies/boss more aggressive and champion all the time
ability: cry for help!?!
give the item larynx(whit some sound change + corruption effect not blood)
state:
hp: a empty bone and a half-soul heart.
tear rate and dmg: super bad do too crying too moche by bing alone and too force players to use the active consumable
speed:at the cap of 2
my vision of a T'Monika is that she fall in too madness after so long not seeing anyone in a 4e wall limbo she her self make back in ddlc and you never come back to delete her. forcing the game too make friends in her new prison. aka this mod.
About runes:
Just a thought: wouldn't it better to make it spawn a bugged item? It'd be more fitting the theme. Despite the fact that it'd lower its cost of usefulness...
Too powerful. All characters' runes that give effects work rather on some timer or in one room. Moreover, those active items give effect for one room. So why would runes be more powerful that active' counterparts?
While I somewhat like it... How'd it work on already transformed Sayori?
And again, I don't like the "entire floor" part. I'd put it on timer or something.
Also, I have alternative ideas for this rune:
1) Like "Soul of the Forgotten" and "Soul of Jacob and Esau", make it spawn secondary character as one of club' members. (Or maybe only Sayori?...)
2) Grants effect simillar to "Breath of Life" item - except it'll give invincibility frames from the start, but after some time your character will start getting damage until you leave the room.
About tainted versions:
In general, let's not forget that tainted characters have unique mechanics.
I like the idea for Tainted Sayori, that would be a nice combination of Keeper and Bethany. But I believe that Keeper's Box is redundant here.
And what about coins, should they transform into something, like how spawned hearts work for Keeper?
From what I see, Tainted Monika is overloaded with started items, and I wouldn't call "Charmed monsters" mechanic interesting for her... But we could play around familiars.
So I would suggest leaving only Adoption Papers and GB Bug, and instead of Friend Finder in consumable active slot - a custom one, with 8 (less? more?) charges which let you make 3 familliars (spawn their items? Extra choice menu?Actually, that'd be hard to code, I believe) and choose only one of them.
Maybe as a side effect (for the sake of balance - because we all know how a lot of familliars can change the run), it'd be possible to make random number of familliars dissapear on each floor, if you gained too much of them?...
As a downside - permament effect of Dataminer: each new room your stats keep rerolling and all enemies/objects' sprites are always broken. That way, it'd be harder to work just on Tainted Monika' tears and rely on familliars more; AND it would be more different than "DELETE THIS" challenge yet still looks somewhat glitched...
Can't say anything for Tainted Yuri - it still looks like Tainted Samson in some way, but I can't suggest something better, so I'll leave it.
As for Natsuki... I wonder how Corrupted Cough would synergise with other items, but the idea is good.
Spiders' theme is debatable, but okay.
Aaand... Creepy cupcake? With fear? That would clash with Tainted Yuri' trinket. Maybe re-classify this item for charm effect?
Guess I'm done. I'd think about base stats for tainted characters, but I'm not good at that.
And don't take my thoughts as superior ones.
Also, I'm waiting for the update just like others, Crashpunk! Hope to see how it'll play out at the end.

this sound like THE worst idea. it so bad in fact it will by unplayable and i for sure some boss are gonna by unbeatable like "the beast", delirium. hush. and more
on a positive note i respect what you are saying.
In fact, Natsuki, if questioned, will point out that the poem is irony. Its about not judging others for their downfalls/flaws and 'odd hobbies' despite just looking like a rant about a girl named Amy.
Like some have been saying, take your time with fixing the mod. I may want to play it again, but not at the expense of the modder. Have a good one and goodluck with the work Crashpunk.
Missed that... Yeah, it shouldn't work on big/story-based bosses in that case.
Then again, their hitboxes doesn't change under Dataminer effect.
Also, don't worry - that's why I said:
Tainted Sayori would start off like Sayori with her Sayonara transformation, and base stats. However she would not be able to gain red hearts because she is dead. Her new mechanic is a noose that can be activated in the pocket slot. You can shoot the noose to catch enemies, and either swing the noose around or let the noose hang the enemy and deal a fixed set of damage for each tick. The rope wouldn't be that strong, so I'd imagine the noose would break after 2-3 rotations or after holding an enemy for 3 seconds.

This one is straight foreward. The rope can now swing an enemy around 5-7 times or hold an enemy for 6 seconds.
Tainted Yuri's mechanic I just straight up stole from Hotline Miami. In case you don't know, there's a character that has a knifes only play style. Just the same as that. However, you could recover throwing knifes as consumables. Same stats as normal Yuri. I also had the idea of an interaction with Spoon Bender. Throwing knives come right back after landing.

Another straight foreward one. Increase the amount of throwing knifes held from 3 to 8.
I have two ideas for Tainted Natsuki. I can't decide which to pick so I'll post both here.
Version 1:
"The Famished"
This version of Natsuki would have a hunger meter. It would start halfway filled and it would deplete over time. You can replenish it by eating enemies at low health or consumables and items. The hunger meter would increase and decrease your stats. There would be special interactions with picking up food based items, as it would fill your hunger meter, as well as giving bonuses.

Version 2:
"The Stout"
Yet another one I stole the idea from Hotline Miami. This verson of Natsuki would have slower speed, but has been going to the gym. As a result of that, she cannot fire tears. Instead, she relies of her own fists to attack enemies. She also has a built in mom's bracelet so she can pick up rocks and break them.

Tainted Natsuki can now use her mom's bracelet on enemies who are smaller or equal in her size. She could also throw enemy projectiles back now, similar to lost contact with the forgotten.
And finally...
Very creative title for this one. Anywas, Tainted Monika would look similar to the lost, but with her hair down and all messy. She would start with two full bone hearts, and her active item: debug console. I know this item exists in the workshop, but I'd like to post my interpretation for the sake of getting the idea out there. The debug console is a 6 charge active item that lets you use a random command, like giveitem, debug, spawn, etc. This can be controlled by hitting the drop key/button. But what the command will give/activate/remove is always random.

The debug console now just opens the actual debug console. The console closes itself after you enter a command.
I don't expect these to be how the Tainted characters to work when the update eventually drops, but I figured I'd share them.
wen she's alone... : wen monika clear all rooms, she get teleported to a I AM ERROR room.
changing luck? : monika shoots rendom tears, wen she takes a changing tear (ipecac, death's touch...), she get a chance to shoots thos tears (+ the rendom one)

stressed contagion : active items 1 room to charge. she throw som thing that do tear creap on the ground, ani monsters or bosses who go for to long on this creap well reserved a bem of light.
