How to install this as a mod
The author included this link to a download to use this item as a mod: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/35490615/Big%20Sister/Sisters%20Sting%20Mod.zip

Upon downloading, extract the .zip folder and click the Sisters Sting Mod folder that comes out. It contains three folders: Amputator, Ubersaw and Vitasaw. Select which of the weapons you would like to replace with this workshop item. Then click the 'tf' folder inside of whichever you chose.

Now open a seperate window and navigate to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\[your_user_name]\team fortress 2\tf. Some people have their Steam folder in Program Files 32 or 64. [your_user_name] just means that there is a folder that has your username, and that is the one you click. In my example, it would be C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\pkpenguin\team fortress 2\tf.

Now drag & copy the 'materials' and 'models' folders from the Sisters Sting Mod into the 'tf' folder. A window should pop up asking if you want to merge the folders, check the "Yes for All" box and click "Yes." Upon booting up tf2, your mod should be installed.

If you do not feel comfterable doing this, perhaps if it is your first time installing a mod, Copy your Materials and Models folders from your Team Fortress 2 folder onto your desktop. If something goes wrong, go back to your Materials and Models folders and delete them, and replace them with the copies on your desktop. This process is completely optional and is used as a safety net if you feel you may accidentally break your TF2.

I have not yet tested this mod, I will try update this guide to tell if it works. I, personally, am replacing the Ubersaw and am confident that it will work.

If you noticed something wrong with my guide, please note it. If you have a question or problem, post it.

Hey thanks for making this! A lot of people will find a lot of use out of this, since I didn't really put directions myself. :B

I need some help here. This mod looks extremely awesome so i installed it how it said in this guide. (I replaced it with the Vita-Saw). However, when i go ingame, and equip the vita-saw, the first person model looks very weird, however the third person model (and thus the loadout screen model) look normal. Help! I'll make a screenshot of it later and upload it so you can see

I am very curious about this mod. I know that it is designed for Medic and won't look good on any other class. I really want to use this mod to replace one of the Pyro's melee weapons, specifically the Homewrecker or Backscratcher. I'd like to get a little guidance for putting these skins on before I start slapping files into places where they shouldn't be.

I don't think this would look good for that, as the handle is taken from the rest of the weapon so it looks like the medic is wearing it on his arm. I do not know this for sure, however.

I checked the files, and I am not certain if this would work at all, but perhaps if you went into
...\Sisters Sting Mod\Sisters Sting Mod\Ubersaw\tf\models\weapons\c_models\c_ubersaw (or whatever weapon) and changed every instance of ubersaw to Backscratcher then did the installation process normally, that might work.

Please do this at your own risk, however, as I am not certain of the effectivity of this process. I would reccomend backing up your Materials and Models folders if you attempted this.

If you go through with this, please do post screenshots! I am curious to see how this would render.

I am in game now and have applied the files to the Backscratcher, unfortunately it did not work. I thank you for your help and I will continue to try applying these files in different areas. If I come up with anything I will be sure to post them here.

Did it have no affect on the game at all, or did it remove the Backscratcher's model?

There is a problem with the mod. Because of how the bones work for the first person and world model for the medic, I had to do an LOD trick to make this work. If you have low graphic settings then the mod won't work.

Ah, my graphic settings are very low all the time, so that may be it?. And the Backscratcher model looked fine, it didn't disappear or have any other problems I noticed.
