Missing tooltips and effects 3.6
Okay Ive opened a game as a normal biological empire with only UI overhaul dynamic + more tradition categories addon, and plentiful traditions+perks on 3.6, and most trees are missing tooltips on some of their choices. 3 of the 5 choices on transformation ( Futurefever, Change through Obsolensence, and Nemesis) are missing their tooltips, and only have the +10% progress towards terrestrial sculpting as their effect (all 5 choices have the 10% anyways). Industry is missing the tooltip on Creative Accounting. Dedication is missing the tooltip on Support Abroad. Mutagenesis is missing the tooltip on Blight. Experimentalism is missing the tooltips on Optical Sequencing and Concepts of Khwarizmi, and the tooltip on Repeated Inquiries says mod_shipclass_research_station_build_cost_mult: -15%. Affinity is missing tooltips on Empathetic Society and United passion. Aspiration is missing tooltips on Intrinsic Value and Due Diligence. Malice is missing the tooltip on Spite. Biogenesis is missing the tooltip on Partial Terraforming. Anguish, Aspiration and Faith are missing their adoption effects as well.

Another small bug is that Interstellar franchising under prosperity is missing a picture and the box is very borked but still clickable, not sure if thats this mod or UI overhaul breaking that one because Im sure Prosperity is a vanilla tradition. Transcendence and Evolutionary mastery ascension perks are broken as well.

Tooltips are very vital for this mod because if you dont know what the traditions and their choices do by heart, how are you meant to make any decision making on what tree to pick other than whatever one 'sounds cool'?

Any idea how to test whether the effects actually take place?
Currently I don't know if this is just a "doesn't show the info but still applies the effects" type deal or if it just straight up doesn't have the effects anymore

Its hard to tell, some of the effects may be genuinely broken from modifiers getting changed from the updates, would have to know what the effects actually *are* to be able to test each one though. I suppose we could load up a 3.5 game and screenshot the missing ones, then look for the modifiers being applied in a 3.6 game but that sounds pretty tedious. Im betting the code just need some tweaking to make them work with the update.

Honestly, if we lost this mod it is a pity. It was one of those old cool mods that survived a lot of versions. Hope author fixes it, but seeing that he was not online for quite some time...

Also, I heard that if AI takes Biogenesis traditions, it gets stuck eventually, and will not complete this tree

Its been a core mod in most of my playthroughs for years, would really love to see it fixed so we can keep enjoying it

Aha. I wondered what was going on. Glad it wasn't due to a conflict, at least. I assume that the effects are broken by the same thing that breaks the tooltips, so have been avoiding the borked ones.

So its likely the effects work but don't have a custom tooltip applied to actually say what they do. as previously there was a different method for applying localization to tooltip descriptions. So I'd guess the author didn't know that and thus didn't change them to a custom tooltip.

You can view all effects in the following location: ".\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\281990\1311725711\localisation\plentiful_traditions_l_english.yml" (or any other language file); it's not the most readable text but it might do the trick while we wait for an update.
I can confirm that of each effect that I checked to see if it was programmed in, they are present. The ones I saw that had no description but had effects are the ones that have actual things that are not building unlocks or stuff like the energy from building mining stations.
