This is like being able to simply remove all negative personality traits for the research cost of an air vent. It shouldn't be that easy and it's not even possible with our own RL industrial tech. :)
Can make:
1) artificial bone at drug lab: 25 plasteel bars: presumably back to full 100% efficiency?
2) powered arm at smithing bench: 50 steel bar, 10 plasteel bar, 92% efficiency, 15 attack
3) advanced prosthetic arm at drug lab: 50 steel bar, 20 plasteel bar, 90% efficiency, 8 attack
also at smithing bench is scyther arm: 70 steel bar, 40 plasteel bar, 20% efficiency, 20 attack
There may be more available to craft, but that is what I have researched at this time. My thinking is that the powered arm and scyther blade should be a bit closer together in stats, with scyther blade being better for attack, and powered arm being much better for manipulation. Perhaps comparable in cost. I would think the advanced prosthetic arm would be much better than the other two at manipulation.
Also, not sure where artificial bone should fall, and where it actually falls. Guess that depends on if it actually takes you back to 100% efficiency. Perhaps that cost would be if the research was much higher for that.
I guess I need to think on this some more, not actually sure if I have any real recommendations right now, just that it all seems to need a bit of sorting and balancing.
Perhaps the full combo needs to be messed with:
required skill to craft
research amount and location on the tree
materials cost
item stats (efficiency & attack)
Thanks for reading the manifesto :)
