You'll want to place it inside of garrysmod/lua/autorun/mapname.lua.
If you had read our past chats, I have fully set everything up in the server panel for you. However, I cannot seem to fix the Shark model from not being an error but (it's downloaded) from workshop and.. it's referenced but, When I look down the reflection is there. THus, when changing in SP, and coming back you're not an error just "invisible to yourself".
also props for trying to get the shark model to work for 4 hours, do other forced player models work?
MY JOB
As I've been a server administrator or many would call me a server manager for them, It's my job to keep a server from crashing entirely, and to ensure of that issue these are the "extra" steps, i might add that you can take, which I'm cautious for.
-> You must ensure what YOU install will not cause conflictions, or for this matter alone, have script errors being ran on other scripts.
-> Any scripts, weapons, models, etc, that are installed must have fixed scripts as they may either cause issues with conflicting with a method or being a "nil" value, which spams the server (rcon'd) console and can crash the server as it runs the server down in "RAM". (If not strong enough) However, the keypointer is, that you go and extract if you know how to, and fix these errors and re-up them back to a (".gma") (GarrysModAddon) file from the workshop to (compress) the document into a smaller file which can be downloaded twice as quick then a "raw" ."BSP" (map) file. but you get my point here.
-> I manage users, and have learned more lua, to ensure if something goes wrong, I can come in and enforce the server('s) provided, I know/tell what exactly the issue is.
-> Priorities are to be kept, to ensure all policies are enforced, and anyone stating otherwise, are then banned from connecting to a server.
-> I'm an admin, and I see I'm the only one that has been managing, and if not on the server these past few days... It's boring being alone. haha.
And that's job's extra steps that "I" as a server manager/ provider takes, to ensure it runs efficently and no frames are dropped in the process.
Enjoy, And a few other commands were added to "enforce" admins.
- Sincerely,
- Nickk
I can help you set it up if you require add me, and we'll speak.
