I didn't have much time, but I did a quick run through to Caves 1 and got this:

Bugs
  • The page on the menu that shows current location, character, and time has NL in the same place as the location[i.imgur.com]
  • The loading screen between levels for NL shows a picture of a demon instead of, well, NL (Not sure who that demon represents though, I don't play a lot of Isaac)
  • Viewers reset after leaving game and reentering.
  • After turning on the mod (no restart), the character select screenhad some issues: The overlay wasn't centered, all the new characters were around an inch lower in the character wheel, and the tab seed/difficulty menu was stuck over the overlay, among other smaller graphical glitches. A restart fixed all of these problems.

Possible Bugs
  • Tomo buddy opened a super secret room
  • Every time Tomo buddy is spawned, a seemingly random number of viewers is added to the count

Suggestions
  • I don't know if this is possible, but try to use a higher resolution overlay image for the character select screen.
  • Don't let Tomo buddy unlock a room every time he is used. I would either make his unlock ability a random % chance or increase the amount of charges required to activate him.
  • Lower the amount of luck given per viewer. One tinted rock (99 viewers) alone was enough for an extra 2.00 luck.
  • Rework Austin's sprite on the character select screen. His eyes and mouth give very uncomfortable vibes.

Questions
  • If Tomo is already an item, how would Tomo/Ryuka's character work?
  • How many items, bosses, trinkets, floors, etc. do you plan on adding?
  • Are viewers an NL only attribute? If not, how would it work for other characters?

Thanks VideoGC, really appreciate the detailed feedback.

Right now the Overlay is scaled down to match the resolution of the game, but it is something I might be able to upscale at a later stage, although with great effort.

Tackling your questions:
1 - Tomo/Ryuka are going to be a Character Duo where you can actively switch between the two characters, each having separate health pools. While one of them is active, the other will appear as a follower for the other. Make sense?
2 - Well in terms of items/trinkets, as many as the NLSS are willing to make memes. Bosses and floors on the other hand are graphical challenges that I cannot quite tackle on my own just yet, but is something I would like to eventually get to.
3 - Viewers are a new resource used by every NLSS Member, everyone gains Viewers from kills, but each NLSS Member has an additional way of getting them as well. (eg. Ryan and tinted rocks) The Viewer Count is then used to empower the new items that I've added to the game, so everyone can get and use them.

Majority of the graphical glitches I am aware of and will be addressing before the public Beta.

Thanks Shoki, I am aware. I'm looking into adding compatibility for it, but it might take some time considering the NLSS Mod adds a lot of new characters.

Belly button seems to have a problem with Gold Visor, just going between paper clip, bible tract, and Dim Bulb is giving me gold hearts for free. Playing as Sinvicta, though I doubt the character is related?

@TooWeeb Thanks for letting me know, Dim Bulb is probably triggering the cache for Gold Visor. It's an easy fix. Will upload a fix shortly.

I've uploaded a fix. Next time you restart your game it should update. Thanks again for informing me of the bug. :)
Gold visor as nek resulted in me having to not shoot tears at the risk that they would multiply and slow the game to 1 fps. i don't know what was causing that since i didn't have any particularly zany tear effects, and since the item is rewarded for the viewer count i couldn't get rid of it with the console.

also, i have no idea what the madrinas item does. it lowers the tear delay for one tick and then goes back to normal but doesn't seem to do anything else. i did end a run and resume on a room where i used madrinas and when i came back there was a 'tip' on the screen for the duration of the room, but i could not replicate this another time.

Thanks hoverman for letting me know. I've uploaded a patch that should fix most of your issues.
Goldman's Visor gives Jacob's Ladder but with additional Chain Lightning whenever he kills anything. I've reduced that Chain Lightning effect to hit a maximum of 25 targets, that should improve the performance for you. I've also adjusted Madrinas so the effect will be more noticable now. (It's basically a temporary soy milk, but with no DMG down and can scale upwards) If you have soy milk and use Madrinas it will now drop your FireDelay to 0. The Tip appears briefly at the start of every run in the first room, it isn't bugged. (It removes itself so that it isn't in your way while you're playing) If you run into any other issues, do let me know.

not sure if the mod is still being worked on but game crashes when you load up into the main menu i think its got something to do with the menu changes but its only a guess since it seemed to work better after i deleted the entire main menu folder. it also misaligned the characters in the character select

oh yea and the game crashed when you start a run, somehow forgot to mention that but it could be a mod incompatibility but i should probably mention it
