Rim of Madness - Werewolves
Turning into a werewolf
If the NPC werewolf bites or scratches my colonist, will he become a werewolf, or will nothing happen?

Nothing will happen. There isn't an infection dynamic. Per the description, the only way to get a colonist werewolf is to recruit or start with one with the werewolf - unblooded trait.

While this is an old discussion, I'd still like to jump in for a moment and point out that Rim of Madness uses World of Darkness rules for its vampires and werewolves, and in oWoD I don't believe werewolves bite each other to reproduce (though I could be wrong). You're either born a werewolf or you're not.

While this is an even older discussion... This is correct. Lycanthropy, as it were, is genetic in the oWoD Werewolf franchise. If I remember correctly, werewolves can reproduce with with humans or wolves, creating a potential werewolf (at a slim chance) whose base from will be Homid (human) or Lupus (full wolf) respectively, and everything else operates on a scale between those.

If two werewolves reproduce, it creates a malformed werewolf due to werewolf genetics being too potent to be mixed.

i am playing with this mod where i want the werewolves born in the colony, but everytime they transform for the first time, its always metis form. i dont want metis since i cant transform to any other forms. Is there any reason why they always become metis? Btw the father is werewolf, the mother is a human

I love this mod, but I do have to admit, I like the idea of starting off as a normal pawn, and trying to find a Vampire or Werewolf to put in prison and become part of the Colony and later bite me.

However, This mod doesn't allow that. So BIG SAD PANDA FACE!

We do need a update, with a bite system. Something that makes werewovles able to bite others.

being a werewolf lover of all lore and story i don't believe the bite does anything but rather the literal blood and digestion of it whether a trick by one or on purpose would slowy break down the humanoid genetics and transform them in to a lycan . ps i mean lycan a lycan is a cursed human to have the blood of the wolf whether from blood or a spell. whall a lycantrhope a usally stronger variant is a werewolf through and through.

don't add bite system instead if you want to do something like that make it so werewolves can bestow blood upon pawns.

Clan Gangreal from Vampire: The Masquerade may be what you're thinking about.

I'm not dog-piling on you. Just necroposting about World of Darkness lore because it's really unique and interesting.
