Issues with GIMP-2.10
@goondo here's my experience

1. bat file could use some wildcards maybe? it was hardcoded to gimp-2.8.exe while I installed 2.10. Is fine for me since I've used .bat files in the 80s but I'm gonna assume a lot of people gonna wonder why nothing is happening

2. Got this error message with vanilla gimp install with the dds plugin on the gimp output console
---
Missing fast-path babl conversion detected, Implementing missing babl fast paths
accelerates GEGL, GIMP and other software using babl, warnings are printed on
first occurance of formats used where a conversion has to be synthesized
programmatically by babl based on format description

*WARNING* missing babl fast path(s): "R'G'B' double" to "CIE Lab double"
---

There was nothing else to indicate processing. I know it's running only because I checked task manager and GIMP was eating up 10-15% CPU.

3. Does this mean the process failed after 10-15 mins?

I know to ignore the unknown image type 0 error. When I loaded up the game, other than main menu, everything was out of whack

I'm gonna see if using GIMP 2.8 fixes these and will update back

I got another batch command experienced an execution error again after that there was no activity on the gimp process in task manager. This time I used gimp-2.8.22

it completed when I tried again but took over an hour to complete for some reason.

So is it working for you? It did take over a hour for one other person. He had an AMD processor.

Also, thanks for the gimp 2.10 head up. I'll look into it.

I had this issue but I edited the batch file so it reads "C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\bin\gimp-2.10.exe" -i --batch-interpreter=python-fu-eval -b "execfile('rescale_gfx.py'); pdb.gimp_quit(1)"
copy scale_ui.mod ..

Apparently the version of GIMP changed or something but it seems to be working after some research and changing the version of gimp in the bat file only took about 20-30m. I got the same error messages as OP

sorry just came back from a short vacation. When it completed, i was still getting the issues of misplacements all over the place as per the screenshots I posted. I think it is because I'm running 3440x1440 so I changed my resolution to 2560x1440 which meant black bars on the sides basically since the horizontal res is the same. Still the same issue. I'll rerun it again over the weekend and see if that goes away.

I have a i7-7700k so not AMD issue.
