Replace spawning of vanilla Griffins with this mod's griffins - Update game.ini:
NPCReplacements=(FromClassName="Griffin_Character_BP_C",ToClassName="NCGriffin_Character_BP_C")

Remove spawning of the vanilla Griffins, without remapping them to mine - Update game.ini:

Every 30 minutes there is a routine that kills off excess Griffins, starting with the lowest levels on the map that are in stasis and wild/conscious. Default value is a cap of 250 griffins, however, if you're seeing overspawn issues, and don't want to manually tweak your spawn rates, you can leverage this function.

What's the dino tag for the .ini? I'd like to use the spawnweightmultiplier .ini option on it, but all I can find on the mod pages is the entity id.

You can look at the ark server configuration wiki, and modify every spawner in the map to your tastes, it's all a matter of how much effort you want to put in. That said, this not the venue for server administration of that level.

Would it be possible to grant a way to reduce the base movement speed, etc?
Griffins seems awfully strong to begin with and while we're trying to balance our Classic Flyers, and sure Griffins are included... We'd really like to make our Griff's breedable.
There doesn't seem to be any griff mod out there that allows a rebalance of the Griff itself at all. Unless we're counting buffing...

Please make it so we can change atleast the base movement for Gryphons.
Additional stat modifiers would be wonderful too. ;P

I got a problem with overspawning on The Island and Ragnarok playing SP and non-dedicated. I replaced all Griffins with NCGriffins and put the line [NCGriffin] MaxWildCount=20 into GamerUserSettings.ini as you described, yet there are so many Griffins all over the place, it´s crazy. I have no idea what else I can do, so help would be greatly appreciated.

the way this mod handles spawns is honestly really wonky, it really shouldn't have spawns included in it and should leave it up to server admins to configure the spawning.

Please don't get me wrong, of all of the mods that change Griffins I think this one is the best. But the spawning is very strange. :)

The spawning is not 'strange' it's based off of the argent, as the Griffin doesn't spawn on all maps, and that seemed like a reasonable existing spawn to base off of. All of the spawn info is available which makes it very easy for people to tweak it to their own desires.

I understand, but on Ragnarok the amount of argent spawns mean that even if you lower the spawn limit down to maximum 5 per map, the moment you render into a region where the Griffins can spawn you are basically guaranteed to find all 5 instantly. However, because of the way ark handles spawning, if I were to configure my server to block these griffins from spawning in the areas where they are set to spawn, I could NOT then configure them to replace the existing vanilla griffin spawns. That is what makes it strange.

You have the .ini line to set the modded griffins to replace vanilla ones, but despite that they will STILL spawn in the argie spawn points.

I don't think you have adequately tested your statement, as it's not correct.
