So this mod was inspired by DerBK's A better militia mod. This mod is pretty similar in the sense that it overhauls the militia. Its not compatible with a better militia but this mod has all of the feature of this mod baked in.

What this mod does
1. It gives the standard militia soldiers loadouts. So far we have 4 loadouts.
Militia Unit 1
- Name: Basic Security
- AR does 2-4 damage, pierces 1 armor.
- 72 aim.
- 5 hp.
- Carries a flashbang.
- Can use Suppression and Hunker Down.

Militia Unit 2
- Name: Milita Heavy
- LMG does 3-6 damage, pierces 1 and shreds 1 armor.
- 70 aim.
- 6 hp, 1 armor
- Carries a frag Grenade.
- Can use Suppression and Hunker Down.
-These milita units moves slightly slower, due to their equipment.

Militia Unit 3
- Name: Veteran Militia
- Laser AR does 4-6 damage, pierces 2 armor, shreds 1 armor.
- 80 aim.
- 7 hp, 2 armor
- Carries a frag Grenade.
- Can use Suppression and Hunker Down.

Militia Unit 4
- Name: Veteran Heavy Militia
- Laser LMG does 5-7 damage, pierces 2 armor, shreds 1 armor.
- 75 aim.
- 8 hp, 2 armor
- Carries a plasma grenade.
- Can use Suppression and Hunker Down.
- These milita units moves slightly slower, due to their equipment.

2. The militia soldiers use the TLP weapon appearences for their guns.
3. Like A better milita you can potentially see higher tier militia soldiers in earlier haven assault missions.
4. Removed easy to hit from the militia.

I've worked hard to make sure this mod has no major bugs or errors. Its a great mod if you want the Resistance to have some kick to them.

Special thanks to rusty Dios for coding help, now the mod is compatible with [WOTC] Don't Pull That Trigger.

if i wanted the militia to only be able to use certain weapons (for example, only weapons from imperial surplus) how would i go about doing that?

question before I start an entire campaign to test this: do these guys have less aim then they used to? I didn't really like a better militia because they removed their aim and made their number one suppression which had an aim penalty so I want to know if this might be better.

Would it be possible to update the Resistance Soldier AI with a hunker down routine when they are on fire? Right now they completely ignore that and are subsequently killed by burning to a crisp.

Fix wont help if you are already in a tactical mission sadly.

i think the last update from today broke retaliation, i played several new saves, with deleted config
no civis spawn except soldiers,civis are replaced with advent.
so only 6 civis in the counter
i disabled this mod and it gone. yesterday was all good

I believe a bug was introduced with the last update. When an extra soldier joins my crew (via "Volunteer Army"), they don't have any evac interface. This results in a failed mission on missions where evac is requited. The only way to resolve the mission is to sacrifice the unit resulting in a lower mission score. This was one of only two mods that had been changed since seeing this behavior and removing this mod resolved the issue.
