Description
PAPAL STATES
Trait: Apostolic See
Begins with +1 Great Prophet point per turn. All Religious Units have an additional charge and are unaffected by Zone of Control.

District: Diocese
A district unique to the Papal States for Faith. Replaces the Holy Site. Allows the purchase of Shrines and Temples with Faith in this city. Provides a major Faith bonus when placed adjacent to City Centre, Government Plaza, or Consulate Districts.

Unit: Swiss Guard
Papal unique Renaissance melee unit that unlocks at Diplomatic Service. Must be purchased with Gold. Has +10 Combat Strength when defending against city attacks.

Not sure if the mod just hasn't been updated in a while, I'm not experienced with downloading many mods, but I don't think the civ's trait actually works. I just finished a game as Papal States with Gregory as the leader and my religious units did not have extra charges and were definitely affected by zone of control. Still very fun to play as this civ!

Very good mod! Just need some updates. For me, the only issue is the DIOCESE. It keeps of disappearing once the era progresses and/or places beside a river.

Hopefully this can be fixed. :steamhappy:

Really enjoying this, especially the music! Any info or playlist available? I recognize much of it from the excellent Civ IV OST and other sources, but a couple of tracks are proving elusive. Keep up the good work!

You know, I kinda miss there being a one-city civ by default, like Venice was in 5, and this civ would make sense in that regard.

Interesting civ but feels weird that the swiss guard unit is more geared toward offense than defence.
