Culvert By [SSU]yenyang

Contains two assets.
One for the upstream end of culvert and one for the downstream end.

Required Mods and Props
Concrete Culvert Pipe 01
Concrete Prison Wall

Transmits water from the upstream end to the downstream end once "Connected" by district or ID. Rename the culverts ends to have the same name so that Rainfall pairs the two structures by ID.

These assets are not perfect. . . yet. The biggest problem is that is a compilation of props that follow the terrain and get messy if it's not on a smooth surface. Hopefully I can inspire a 3D modeler to create a model or prop to replace what I am currently using. Also it uses the same code as the rest of the Storm drain assets so flow transmits from one end of the culvert to the other in bursts rather than continuous.

Utilizes gravity flow and does not require nor conduct electricity. Gravity Flow generally means that if you want water to flow from an inlet to this outlet the elevation of the inlet must be higher than the outlet, but that will depend on the Gravity Drainage Settings of Rainfall. See Rainfall Beta Guide.

Must be connected to a water pipe but does not actually require any sewer or water. It does not contribute to the water or sewage because storm drain water is kept separate.

Problems and How to Fix Them

Line Not Connected - You don't have any outlets/detention basins in the same district. Add an outlet/detention basin in this district or move the inlet to another district with an outlet/detention basin.

Landfill Full - There is not enough outlet/detention capacity within this district. Build additional outlets/detention basins or wait for the storm to lessen.

No Place For Goods - Cannot gravity drain to outlet. You must either build a lower gravity storm drain outlet, a detention basin, or a SD Force Main outlet.

Special Thanks
Special Thanks to BeardMonky for the Props.

Special Thanks to Snow_Cat because without Asset AI Changer & Asset UI Priority Changer, the storm drain assets would not have been possible.

Do you have an actual screenshot on how to place this asset? I tried to place it at a river edge, however, I can't seem to put some "soil/mound" behind the wall in order to cover the "outfall pipes" per se

@Tri I believe it was fixed in April according to the change notes for rainfall.

Hi! Any update if the concerns stated by previous commenters were already addressed? I'd love to use this as my gravity drainage outfall instead of using the current gravity drainage outfall asset (the one with a structure)

@Analyst Actually, I think I realized what is causing it. I tried to make it so the mod would load the props whilst placing the asset because I don't like how you can't see the inlets or culvert when you're placing them, but it didn't work. Unfortunately I didn't remove the line of code that I added and I think it's causing the problem. Hopefully I will have time to test and fix it soon.

@Analyst I think you can delete the props with move it mod. I have no idea how this started happening. Was the flood spawners thing possibly a retention basin asset that got too close to an inlet? I've had that cause extreme water spawning before.

I can't remove the props either. Another really weird one probably very related you know your flood spawner? You know how props randomly appeared on the map, imagine how surprised I was when one spawned right in the middle of my city. I was like, did I just hit an underground gaiser? Nope, shit...

Disabling the flood spawners fixed the problem... still I think grimlins have gotten into the game code..

Screenshot added.
It appears the assets are being duplicated onto the map... weird. Love your mod by the way.

@Analyst that's strange sorry. I heard strange reports about props randomly appearing.

Broke a map I was playing on... Arrowhead valley somehow the assets became detached and causing a 6 FPS drop around that asset
