This mod adds a new alien to the game; the ADVENT Warlock. A psionic variant of the standard ADVENT Trooper that comes in 3 variants, each with more powerful psionic abilities than the last. In addition to his psionics, the Warlock carries a Psionic Reaper and Vortex Grenade into battle. He's fairly common and will appear throughout the entire campaign.


STRATEGY ELEMENTS

2 New Research Projects
-ADVENT Warlock Autopsy: Available after completing the Alien Biotech, ADVENT Officer, and Psionics research projects.
-Psionic Weapons: Available after completing the ADVENT Warlock Autopsy research project.

1 New Proving Ground Project
-Psi-infused Grenades: Completing this project allows for XCom to build Vortex Grenades. Available after completing the Psionic Weapons research project.

2 New Beam Tier Weapons
-Psionic Reaper: The Warlock's main weapon available to XCom Psi Operatives after completing the Psionic Weapons research project. This psionic rifle cannot be upgraded but inflicts 7 - 9 damage, has a 15% aim bonus, has a 15% chance to stun any target, and never needs to be reloaded (unless disabled by a Codex). It also gains accuracy bonuses the closer the Psi Op is to the target starting at 20 tiles.
-Vortex Grenade: The Warlock's grenade that can be carried by any XCom soldier; Damage 5, Range 12, Chance to Stun any Target 25%. Build them under the Items tab in Engineering after completing the Psi-infused Grenades Proving Ground Project (same place as Blue Screen Rounds).


COMPATIBILITY
------------------------------------------------------
This mod adds its own unique templates and config file entries to the game. It DOES NOT alter/override any base classes or config file entries. As such, it "should not" have compatibility issues with other mods, but you never know.

1/25/2017: XComAI.ini adjusted to be compatible with LW2. Warlock will now use all of his powers properly in LW2 campaigns (specifically Raise Dead and Soul Fire). This update has no effect on campaigns not using LW2 as the Warlock already behaves 100% properly using base game AI functionality.

The zombie it spawns are permanent! Cool mod but far too strong for my tastes

Um... Well you see when he resurrects zombies and I kill the lock the zombie tends to STAY on the field... very unpleasant. otherwise great mod

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but doesnt this essentially negate the entire story? This is pretty much an Avatar, or very close to one.
