Xylth's Training Roulette

This mod adds an option to randomize many of the class abilities your soldiers get on level up. All of the abilities from each class that are eligible to be granted through the AWC are shuffled together and dealt back out. All soldiers with the same class will have the same ability tree, but the ability trees will change every game.

The mod won't affect existing saves, and when you start a new game you will have a choice of whether to activate the mod or not after returning from Gatecrasher.

will a new version be made of this mod for WOTC? I could see alot of cool things done with this... I don't know if people realize, but the game actually has 4 slots now for abilitys, not 2, not 3 like LW does, 4. Lots of possibilitys there. =D

I'm loving this mod so far, but as of late it has been seriously bugging out on me. It will switch between two sets of skills for each soldier, seemingly chosen at random whenever I load up the game, like it gets run twice when enabled after the first mission. Multiple new games started to test, happens with every class including custom ones, so far only two different skillsets with no evidence of a third or more, which is good.

If this can be looked into and possibly fixed, it would be much appreciated. Sucks having to use a modded instant respec AWC to switch skillsets for each mission.

Is there any possible way to make so that every soldier can be different and not all share the same tree as others of there class? I really liked that in the previous game...

Hi, great work! I'll definitely look into this for my next campaign :)
Can you share with us which vanilla perks are AWC-eligible? I really want to experience all the posibilities but I've no idea if a certain perk is simply ineligible or if I was just unlucky. Thanks!

alexstrogan, yes. All the classes you have active at the start of the game will have their AWC-eligible perks shuffled together and dealt back out, including mod classes.

Is it possible to use the advantages of classes from other mods such as rogue or trooper?

I haven't tried Grimy's mod myself, but he has a note in the mod description that it disables the class requirements on GTS class perks.

If you want a traditional training roulette, you should probably go with Grimy's version.

How's the other TR mod break GTS? Granted I haven't enabled TR yet and was intending to on a run soon. Thanks.

Two differences: All soldiers of the same class get the same perk tree (in a given campaign), and mine doesn't break GTS abilities.
