*Horizon*

Horizon, ZeroG's first Interplanetary Expoloration Vessel.

ZeroG has been hard at work for months and finally today we proud to welcome our newest Vessel to the ZeroG Family! Rumors have been around for months, and we are finally here people! Lots of hard work has gone into this ship. There have be missed delines, but it has only refined what already is set up to be an amazing design!
Thanks to our military investments we have had numorous advances in Horizons systems. Some truely amazing designs not seen anywhere else!

So lets jump into the fray and show you what Horizon has to offer.

-First and formost this is ZeroG's Flagship exploration vessel. Soley designed to explore strange worlds, seeking out new and unquie life and and possible technologies. Pretty much to go where not a soul has been before!

-Horizon is aslo able to help jump start offworld colonies with its patented modular ship design. It is able to make use of our new module ships. *ZeroG-Crew-Module*

-Broken up in 3 distint sections, Command Section - Modular Section - Engineering Section.

The Command section (houses all the the ships systems.)
---Upper and Lower Bridge
---Briefing Room
---Captain's Quarters
---Officer Quarters
---Transporter Room
---Cryogenics Room
---Med Bay and Medical Lab Bay
---Forward Lounge
---Cargo Bay Control Room
---Cargo Storage and Back up Generators
---Securtiy and Brig
---Weapon controls
---Hydroponics Deck with Food storage and crafting areas
---Hull access to fuel storage deck

-Modular Section (Houses the Cew modules and Ship docking bays.)
---Mantianance catwalk with both bridge and engineering access
---Main crew deck with access to 4 ZeroG Modules.
---Lift access to Cargo Hold and ship storage
---Access room for docking door

-Engineer Section (Houses Main Engines and Life Support)
---Upper Maintiance with life access
---ZeroG design Engine drive with Warp Capibilities
---Life Support
---Production assembly room
---Main Core
---Rear Airlock

*Horizon is capable of setting down into an atmosphere, I would only do it for short periods as fuel is a premium with this ship even moreso inside an atmosphere.

*I have also tried to make this ship as flyable as possible but due to its size and all modules installed, it is unable to perform more than one manuver at a time.

Enjoy and Feedback is welcome!

I agree about Blocks... There are some very crittical shapes misssing from the Blocks that would so icrease design looks, and also funtionality.... How about a basic BOCK DESIGN option were you can take any material, make a block with it, and make the exact shape of the block in: {X, Y, Z} space, and save it with a name under your account, as well as upload it to the library of "BLUEPRINTS" in STEAM too :-) What do you think, and what might you add to that ???

@afederowicz Thanks! This was my first big build that I took on. My goal was a exploration ship inspired by a star trek like design. Multiple decks, different type of rooms, etc. The types of blocks were not as varied as they are now. Very much limited in block designs. But I tried to do something differnet.

P.S. Currently Horizon was on its madien 6 month long mission, but just last month has returned to ZeroG space. Horizon is going thru the ZeroG shipyards for so upgrades so the crew is currently on leave until then. Keep on the look out for the upgraded Horizon in early 2017!

i do have one erk with this ship which is mainly due to game fault than ship fault.

in atmosphere on my server i was running away from a couple of frigates from an opposing faction using this ship as my mobile command center/ mother ship.

as i was flying for my life i did a spiral which resulted in the ship crashing to the ground and skidding to a halt.

i then relealised that this ship is really hard to flip back over in atmosphere with all it's parts undocked and impossible to flip over when they are.

apart from this it's a really nice ship... but sadly is no longer my flagship or will be returning to mothership/mobile command center anytime soon.

@dakrdragon3489 Ya I had alot of fun building Horizon. I really wanted to push the limit of the imagination for this game. I would like to see more ppl take on this modular idea as the possiblities are endless.

Thank you for taking the time to try out Horizon. It was built way before Alpha came around so was quite impressive giving the tools we had.

Again Thank you and feel free to try out some of our other designs!~

Okay, so first off, one of the most technical/immersive builds I've seen thus far. I tested it out on creative and had a bit of a hard time docking the modules but, after it was done it looked amazing. The modules themselves were detailed and amazing looking. I could definitly see a large crew on this thing as it warps in, drops a "pod" off with a crew in it then warp to the next area and does the same thing. I also like where some of the weapons were located on this thing, the artilleray turrets were housed in bunker style areas with a window where the barrels stuck out from. I thought that was a pretty neat design feature. Would love to see a battleship design in the future, maybe something along the Iowa class Battleships lol. Keep up the amazing work.

Well you've done a detailed and extremely cool design. will probably start working on my own modular designs soon :D

@amphibiousflea Thanks! Horizon was built before the Alpha update was around so I have put Horizon back into the Shipyards for retrofitting. Its a slow process but Horizon-2 will be up and running in the near future.
Also the idea of the texture symbols is a wonderful idea! I wanted to push the boundries of what a ship could do.
