UPUDATE May 25 2017 Made water currents more realistic, added Bonita Valley Theme

UPDATE Mar 6: Fixes to RR, highway and sea lanes to reduce traffic problems

You can use any map theme that is based in tropical-based, or use BloodyPenguin's Environment Changer mod to use any custom map theme you want, and not just limited to tropical based themes. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=611254368&searchtext=environment

By request: World-famous as the icon of the Southwest of North America, Monument Valley (Navajo: Tsé Biiʼ Ndzisgaii, meaning valley of the rocks) is a sacred place to the Navajo, and has been featured in countless films.

Subscribe to the Large Saguaro Cactus on the right. There are many more cacti that Shroomblaze has made, as well. Check em out.

This map is primarily true to the original USGS heightmap, but of course the play area has been gone over with a fine tooth comb to ensure lots of the area is at a flat level for gameplay, and to add in a "Lake Meade" type desert lake, which is actually really far from Monument Valley :) But, this is CS, we need a body of water and water currents.

Hi! I explored this map a little in what became a two part 'noob builder' bit https://youtu.be/uKudwZf7Jpo

I plan to use it again for a longer lasting city someday, I loved it! =)

Hi, yes, there are no mods required for this map. No matter which map you choose, here is how to make sure you are sure to keep achievements available while you build your city.
Assets (trees, props, custom buildings) do not count in this game as mods. Only things that alter the game's code are considered mods. Here's how to double check before you start: Load the game. Click Content Manager. Click the tab called Mods. Be sure nothing there has any blue squares. They should all be disabled, even default mods that came with the game.
Hope that helps! :)

Well I'm a big moron :D When I put that new wording in about recommended theme, I forgot that this map is based in tropical, and the Outback one is based in temperate :D The game only allows you to use a custom map theme that is in the same category (tropical, temperate, snow, etc). So that's why it doesn't work together.
There is a mod you can use, though. It's still working and I use it often. Environment Changer mod by BloodyPenguin will allow you to use any theme with any map, mix and match. Enable it and you will see all choices of map environments and themes. in new drop down menus https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=611254368&searchtext=environment

Seems to be a good map, but the Outback Red Desert cannot be chosen...any ideas why?
