The world you enter is not our own. It has been broken, reforged, and broken again by plague, prophecy, and war — but nothing shattered it more than the unholy Blood Comet that blazed across the sky.

To kings, it was an omen of death. To prophets, a sign of God’s wrath. To rebels, the proof that crowns could fall. And fall they did.

The Caliphate splintered. The heirs of Genghis Khan lied splintered across his shattered realm. The Gothic Empire, once master of Hispania, collapsed into feuding heirs and peasant republics. The Angevin dream — an empire uniting England and France — was torn apart by nearly four decades of rebellion and heresy. Even the Holy Roman Empire abandoned Germany, reforging itself in Italy and crusading across the Mediterranean.

The year is 1444. Borders are unstable, crowns uncertain, and faith fractured. The comet’s shadow still lingers, and every ruler wonders: was it a warning, or a promise?

This is Sanguis Caelo — a world of crusades and counter-crusades, collapsing empires and rising republics, heresies and holy visions. The past is written in iron and fire — but the future is yours to shape.
