Adaptive Space Music

Description
A simple mod that alters the default space music behavior.

You’re stuck with the same four tracks if you have a space base in Odyssey, even if your gravship spends most of the time on the planet. You’ll never hear the rest of the soundtrack again (except for Anomaly tracks). This mod changes that.

New behavior:
Planet maps only → nothing changes, no space music
Space maps only → original space music sequence
Space + planet → mixed sequence with all planet and space tracks

Works on both normal and combat music.
Includes all normal and combat music from all DLCs, but will work without them.
Doesn’t override any vanilla music sequences. Anomaly music plays as normal.

Compatibility:
The mod adds a new transition worker that plays mixed sequences when both space and planet maps are present, so it’s partially compatible with music mods. Tracks those mods add won’t play while the mixed sequence is active.

If you spend most of your time only have space maps, no planet maps at all, you might still want to have a mod that add more space music.


Rant:
Still can't believe how they handled Odyssey music. You are really stuck with a whopping four, FOUR, tracks if you decide to have a space base. They simply put you on a sequence with FOUR tracks if any of your maps is in space. Music sequences work fine for short Anomaly events. But with Odyssey, you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you want to build a space base. This mod is just a quick fix, it doesn't solve the issue. I Simply don't want to spend another 50 hours building my space base stuck with the same FOUR tracks.

I'm also pretty shocked by the handling of space music. I was in the middle of making a mod like this for myself when I saw this one. I get Ludeon expect you to only be in space temporarily and that the normal music doesn't fit the space environment as well but I just built an asteroid colony and not being able to hear the normal music anymore really sucks. They should update the DLC with an extra 4 tracks and change the music from a sequence to a standard tag, .e.g. like the <tense>yes</tense> tag raid music uses, then add an option to use planet tracks in space.

is it possible to make the music played IN space like lowered pitch. (keep the lower pitch for the normal non-orbit music and have the odyssey exclusive music play in normal pitch)

@StockSounds All Anomaly music is inside sequences that only play when Anomaly stuff is going on. You could patch Anomaly songs into the main music pool, but it wouldn’t make much sense if nothing’s happening and creepy music starts playing. Simply doing more void provocation will solve your problem :)

Thank you for this, I was just talking about how weird of a choice this was yesterday and even gave up on a space base because of it.

To me, Anomaly music doesn't play often enough. You know a mod for that?
