Configurable Gravship Size.
Options for changing support, support range, support count, thruster range, chemfuel tank size, and a few other Odyssey grav-ship settings.

Can also be used to make them smaller if you really want to challenge yourself.


Known Issues


Large Ships and Landing
There should not be any issues. Checked with Ludeon as well. quote: "it WILL make space [for the ship]" - Sam.

If you get issues anyway I’d suggest not making long train-shaped ship since this seems this has caused issues for people in the past.

I've built abominations 160x170 with no issues[imgur.com] but I suspect some implementations of modded maps/buildings might prevent Odyssey's "cut-away" fallback from cleaning up the map enough to let the giant ships land.

Other mods aside mods, extremely large ships might cause quest locations issues due to simply not having enough space to fit key objectives, or cutting open the walls on ancient dangers. Especially if using small map-sizes.

Finally the landing/take-off animation might fail if you don't have enough VRAM. Only the longest dimension matters here. A 30x200 tile ship will likely be as expensive as a 200x200.

Other issues
This mod edits properties in rimworld, it doesn't modify the game's logic. If you get issues even with fairly mundane ship sizes then the issue is very unlikely to be related to this mod.

I can have a look later, but I don't think anything can be placed out of the range of the grav-engine's support range, so the option is probably only useful if you want the range to be shorter.

I built a bunch of "steel gravship panorama hull" that I can no longer build a copy of. The tool tip says its from this mod. Was something changed or is my install all confused?

Are you aware of anything that may cause the "Grav Field Extender Max Distance from Engine" setting to not function? The only way I have found to place extenders further from the core was to increase the support range of the actual grav engine itself, which isn't particularly ideal. To my knowledge, I do not have any other mods that directly tamper with gravship configuration, but perhaps something is conflicting anyway.

Either way, this is a lovely mod! Thank you for your work~

Now compatible with "gravfield extender hulls". Uses same settings as the regular extenders.

There are a few on the workshop, but they may bloat up your save file, so use at your own risk.

Maybe. I'll check how it is set up. I'd rather not transpile stuff if it is hardcoded though.

Yes, it takes effect instantly.

The "Apply Now" setting should instantly update settings in your game. It should just work, but try checking your log for errors.

Might want to check with Sam (from Ludeon). Popular guess is that your graphics card memory runs out if you have too little memory on it.

I believe it should still work (but it will cut a giant hole through the map). Setting a larger map-size may help.

Just a question, before I download, is the mod changing the values ingame real time or is it running through mod options? your screenshot makes it seem like you are patching the values in save real time over the use of game startup mod options?

Do I need to start a new game to change settings?
It does not seen to work in my current game. Also, the "apply settings" button does not make any sound when I click it.

Only mod I can think of that could create a problem would be Vanilla Chemfuel Expanded.
