Cave-demon Johnson here. If you don't remember being in this chamber a minute ago, that's because you weren't. In fact, you sustained a very serious injury in one of our other tests, which has... let me see here... never happened to anyone before. Legally speaking. I know, I was surprised too.

Now in this case, your injury was fatal, but don't worry: you just carry right on testing. That's not going to change. Ever. Because get this: if you died in an Aperture facility and didn't sign Waiver Form 666, you're contractually obliged to live out your entire afterlife wandering an infinite testscape in the abyssal sub-dimension. Yup, you got it: welcome to Hell. Bad luck, buddy. Now, you keep testing, I'm gonna go trim my demon claws. And then bake the off-cuts into your next meal. This is Hell you know, you're extremely lucky to be fed at all. Cave-demon out.

Challenged myself to come up with a puzzle focused on lasers and laserfields, an intriguingly rare combo. With two red-hot hazardous elements, the title seemed appropriate... because I thought of it first, and then designed the puzzle to fit the name. Tee hee.
