Ante Bellum Expanded (English Translation)

Description
This is a full English translation of the Ante Bellum submod Ante Bellum Expanded.

This is NOT a standalone version; the base Ante Bellum & Ante Bellum Expanded mods must be installed and enabled alongside the translation.
The base Ante Bellum Chinese translation (战争前夜汉化) is not required.

Note: The original ABE development team has moved on to create a brand-new alt-history mod, The Dream yet to be Dreamed. Give it a try with the English translation here!

**Now Updated for Ante Bellum 1.9.5**

Mod Background
The Land of Old
In the Frankish Empire, where storms gather on the horizon, nobles enact crimson dramas of power and profit, while Paris—its royal authority weakened by the Crusades' failures—finds itself increasingly beleaguered. Vile schemes and wicked ambitions are brewed in the goblets of the arrogant highborn, yet the bitter taste of regret shall one day be theirs to savor. The people of the Low Countries prepare to unite in hardship, striving together against the tides of fate. Across the Channel, the English envision a grand design for the world and stand ready to sacrifice all for it.

Where the ancestral eagles first took flight, the Habsburgs, lofty in their ambitions, yearn to conquer all and prove to the world the glory and might of their dynasty. Far to the east, upon the lands of Lech, devout faithful clash in their struggle to forge a sacred kingdom for the Poles—a realm to unite the lands between the two seas.
Flames Across the Steppe
The sparks of chaos and revolution lick at the roots of the great grasslands, yearning for a frenzied inferno. The mighty realm forged by Jochi Khan and Sain Khan now teeters on the brink, and within the shadow of this crawling behemoth, countless daggers lurk like bubbles in boiling water. Beneath the Tatar yoke of Eastern Europe, ambitious Rus' princes scheme in silence, each biding their time to tear apart glory and shame with their own hands.

The khans of the steppe will not rest content in their tents—some sharpen their blades, chasing the fading dream of Mongol supremacy; others covet the fertile lands of the Rus'; and still, there are those whose gaze stretches even further, toward distant Rome and the holy cities of the South...
The Fading Dream of Rome
As the last remnant of the Roman Empire in this world, the moribund Byzantine Empire teeters on the edge of collapse. The Pope, once the Patriarch of Rome, now finds himself threatened by the Saracens, while no new Pepin or Charlemagne rises to answer the call of this era. Upon the ruins of Byzantium’s former glory, the dreamers of Macedonia stand ready to sacrifice everything in pursuit of their ideals and freedom. The scattered heirs of Rome prepare for a desperate last stand to save their crumbling homeland.

From the wealth-laden halls of the Queen of Cities, the merchant kings watch the chaos of the Balkans with cold indifference, while in Anatolia, the downtrodden masses still struggle merely to survive...
The Dragon's Return
In the distant lands of the Far East, the Yuan Dynasty can no longer maintain its grip over the East. Nothing lasts forever—the Mandate of the Great Yuan is waning, and like a setting sun that once blazed as brightly as the Mongols' golden age, it now nears its inevitable fall.
After a great uprising, countless warlords have risen, tearing apart the hollowed-out "Celestial Empire" until it lies in fragments. South of the Yellow River, the land has slipped entirely from the Yuan's control, becoming a battleground for ambitious contenders. The Red Turban's heir, righteous rebels rallying under the banner of the Great Ming, now plot their open revolt against the empire. In the south, warlords rule over restless lands where undercurrents of rebellion stir. Persian merchants, patriots fighting to save their homeland, seafaring explorers—all weave through this unraveling tapestry.

And above the Dragon's Throne, a sword hangs suspended by a thread. One day, it may fall—and with it, bring ruin to this empire of the East...

Hey is there any other way to play as Free Rum besides doing Ottomans until the 1500s? Would it be hard to implement some shortcut starting as Seljuks and pressing a button similar to other nations like Golden Horde fragment nations like Crimea or Kazan?

@D
No, the dev team has moved on to their own original alt-history project, The Dream yet to be Dreamed. ABE will likely only be updated for new Ante Bellum versions or bug fixes.

However Sicily will be getting new content in Ante Bellum 1.10.

Any plans for Sicily in the future?

Instructions have been added for downgrading to Ante Bellum 1.9.0. It may take up to a month for ABE to be updated to Ante Bellum version 1.9.5 due to the massive optimization changes that affect all areas of the game. In the meantime, you must follow these instructions in order to continue playing ABE.

I have now only AB 1.9 version installed manually and still see double mission trees. Is it a load order problem maybe?
