UZ 2M62U

2M62U— freight and passenger diesel locomotive.
The 2M62U diesel locomotive is a two-section variant of the M62 with camless cars, an enlarged fuel tank, and block-buffer lights. From 1987 to 2001, 395 locomotives were manufactured at the Luhansk Locomotive Plant in Ukraine.

In terms of design, each section was basically identical to the single-section M62. Instead of the rear cabs of the M62, each section of the 2M62U had a door with a transition to the adjacent section. Both sections were identical to each other. Each of them could operate as an independent single-cabin locomotive. Both sections had a common locomotive serial number (for the difference in accounting, one of them was designated by the letter A, the other - B)
