Description
F-4 Phantom II New Liveries MOD
(including USMC liveries)

This Mod adds a fresh delivery of liveries for the F-4 Phantom II:

  • Ejercito del Aire (Spanish Air Force), 121st Squadron (SEA paint scheme)
  • Ejercito del Aire (Spanish Air Force), 122nd Squadron (low visibility paint scheme)
  • Royal Australian Air Force, Nos.1 and 6 Squadrons (SEA paint scheme)
  • Luftwaffe (German Air Force), JG71 Richthofen (low visibility paint scheme)
  • Royal Air Force, F-4J(UK) No.74 Squadron (air superiority grey paint scheme), equiped with BAe Dynamics Skyflash missiles.
  • Türk Hava Kuvvetleri (Turkish Air Force), 171st Squadron (SEA paint scheme)
  • USMC VMFA-232, Red Devils (high vis paint scheme). I noticed there was no USMC F-4 squadron in the game. This mod fills that gap ;)
  • USMC VMFA 323, Death Rattlers (high vis paint scheme).
  • USMC VMFA 212, Lancers (high vis paint scheme).
  • USMC VMFA 115, Silver Eagles (high vis paint scheme).
  • USMC VMFA 531, Grey Ghosts, at MCAS El Toro (high vis paint scheme).
  • USMC VMFA 531, Grey Ghosts, onboard USS Coral Sea (CV-43) as part of Carrier Air Wing 14 (high vis paint scheme).
  • USMC VMFA 542, Tigers (high vis paint scheme).

Notes:
This mod does not require Sealifter or Anchorchain.

If you publish a scenario using this mod, do not forget to indicate in your description that in order it works the players need to subscribe to this mod first ;).

Design notes: How to access the game's original textures and reskin ingame assets?
Actually I asked the exact same questions to Username (Nimitz Expanded Mod) and GoldLeader108 (Queen Elizabeth Class Carrier Mod). They kindly replied as follows: 'You can use software such as UABEAvalonia to go through the game's assets and isolate files you want' and 'I used SeaLifter's texturedump feature.' Thanks for your help pals :)
Then it's just a matter of editing the png texture files with a graphics editor like the Gimp for example. After that you'll have to create folders called assets/ships/materials/ in your main mod folder and put the png files into the materials folder. Then, you'll have to type the following lines (as an example) in the _squadron files of your mod for each squadron:
ResourcesLiveryFolder=assets/ships/materials/
LiveryTexture=type the name of your graphic file here.png
In any case ALWAYS make backup copies of any game file you modify ;)
Hope it helps.

Important (about mods and mods use):
This mod has been tested and is running perfectly on my computer (i7-11800H @ 2.30 Ghz - 16 GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050) with no other mod enabled. However, since they are as many computer configurations than computer users, it's unfortunately impossible to guarantee it will work on yours.
Be aware that by installing mods for Sea Power, you are modifying your game experience from the original intended product which is (as of March 2025) still in EARLY ACCESS. Therefore, later game updates/patches may cause this mod to be deprecated. Although it is very unlikely, the presence of other enabled mods might cause conflicts, and the more enable mods on your computer, the greater the chance of conflict. So, to sum it up, USE MODS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
If you wish to clean uninstal this mod make sure to follow these steps: 1) Uncheck this mod in the mod manager. 2) Click on Accept. 3) Unsubscribe. Then make sure the mod's file is no longer in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1286220 folder.
